  1. Porter has a decent team, but I think PNG wins this one. BH beat them 4-0 and 7-6, so they're no slouch.
  2. I just paid this for my son on this deal. $200 to attend. Looks like a good program. We'll see what it does for the kids.
  3. We have 3 Sophs and 3 Freshmen. No upper classmen that I know of. Several kids have switched to WR. We have kids that can sling it, but it's going to be an adjustment period. We'll see how it goes. They're already learning the plays and such, but things change once pads are put on. We shall see.
  4. BH Spring game is May 25th at 7 PM, Eagle stadium. It appears we will be young this year at Varsity level.
  5. Big upset as #8 Barbers Hill falls to Humble 12-8.
  6. It will definitely be different. My son has been telling me how they call plays, audibles, reading defense on routes, etc. Don't know how good we'll be, but have to be a scholar to learn the plays. Lol
  7. May 2nd is when practice starts. I don't know how many weeks they go though. Scrimmage I would think would be at the end of Spring football.
  8. BH will be doing Spring football to implement the new offense and defense. According to my son May 2nd. I don't know who we scrimmage though. Football field just added a very large scoreboard and sound system. Anyone else doing Spring football?
  9. I called GCM winning that district at beginning of the year. If they stay playing like this, they will be a tough out in the playoffs.
  10. A coach has been hired and BH will start next year. Not sure on the name, but he's bought a house in my neighborhood.
  11. Final BH 7 Porter 6 BH improves to 6-1 in district.
  12. It will be a toss up between PNG, Ned, GCM, and Lumberton for DC. All 4 should make the playoffs unless Vidor sneaks up on them. Should be some good 1st round matchups.
  13. BH up 4-0 bottom of 6 inn. Bryan Taylor with 9k so far.
  14. Barbers Hill kids that need a look 1. Trevor Kitchen .447 BA, 1 HR, double digit RBI, 1.000 fielding pct. 2. Reid Gillings .472 BA, .895 Fielding pct 3. Tyler Cauley .353 BA, .981 Fielding pct These guys as far as I know haven't signed anywhere and could play at the next level. They've also played quality competition so far.
