  1. I can tell you from experience that baseball scholarship is way less then football or basketball unfortunately. I agree with you on that. Now long term if someone was good enough, rarely happens, but you can make way more money in baseball.
  2. I wasn’t knocking PAM or United, just using as an example. Point was there’s a lot of schools in this area that don’t produce playoffs in all sports.
  3. I 100% agree with you on that. The thing is the state championship posts are coming from people outside of BH. I’m saying the community has a whole is happy to get the playoffs and have some success. If somehow we catch lightning in a bottle and stars align and we pull a Crosby last year, Great. If we move up to 5A D1 or even 6A then we are in major trouble and have to hope for 4th place finish. I think we know in football that we don’t have the “Joe’s”, but we compete and make the playoffs in all sports. Schools with “ athletes” aka black kids can’t all say that. I know it’s a football thread, but when was the last time Beaumont United or PAM went to the playoffs in baseball or softball? I think we do pretty well and will continue to do pretty well with what we have to work with.
  4. If someone doesn’t want to play for BH then so be it. We’ll be just fine. Nobody here is begging for anyone to move here to play football. We’ll still make the playoffs with the kids we have that abide by the rules put in place. The folks on the outside can keep on coming up with whatever agenda they want. We keeping the BH way unless the community, school board, and superintendent change it. Like I’ve said before, I could careless about someone’s hair length, color, sexual preference, or whatever, but mine will abide by the rules in place. When they graduate HS, they can color their hair purple and grow in to their ankles. Btw, that kid your talking about didn’t play football, in fact I don’t think he played any sport.
  5. I agree, they just found a way, which is what a state championship team does. Hat's off to them. Now hopefully, we go the next 10 years in a row beating them.
  6. Crosby is probably closer then us. We turned in 1780? or somewhere around that. We still have a ways to go and like I said a while back, our big numbers are in our lower grades. It's coming though.
  7. That would superior for last year. This is a new year and it starts over. I'm just messing with 14.2 because every year he breaks down every team in 5A in the area and why they are not on Crosby level. Results are besides last year and like 7 years ago is a second round exit. Let's be honest, if Manvel didn't move up to D1, Crosby would've been out round 3 even with the team they had.
  8. Then admit that we’ve been beaten in the playoffs by very good teams. Last 4 years was PNG with Shug, Manvel twice, and Huntsville last year. Those are solid teams. I haven’t looked up their records those years, but I’m sure it would be impressive. All I’m saying we are talking area football, you have to give some love. Lol
  9. He’s worried. He’ll never admit it on here. Usually when he hypes up Crosby, their one or two rounds and done. Last year inflated his head, so he gets to pole his chest out this year telling ever HS in our viewing area how superior Crosby is to everyone. 😂
  10. I could care less about hairstyles honestly, but I grew up in Beaumont. I'm sure some traditional people around here care, but it doesn't bother me. Anyways, folks need to realize that you can't paint a broad brush on a whole community or profession, or race. That last one being the most important.
  11. How many kids you got? You’ve said the same thing for like 7 years?😂
  12. I don’t if anyone around has spent any time around Carthage or Carthage high school, but compare BH football athletes to Carthage is comical. No doubt Surratt is a good coach, but every time I’ve been around a Carthage practice, they have a boat load of talent on the field.
  13. No biggy, I was just curious if there was something I didn’t hear.👍
  14. Not making a Good ol’ boy, nepotism type hire? Please expound on your statement. I’m curious on why that’s brought up?
  15. He won’t be going to Tech. Projected late 2 nd to middle 3rd rd. If that happens, I’m sure he will be gone.
  16. Wrong, it’s intermediate. There’s literally a sign in front of it. [Hidden Content] Go to last picture to show Intermediate North, located behind the baseball field. They haven’t broke ground on a 9th grade center.
  17. No, just the football facility is super nice and school is super nice. I think both were built a couple years ago
  18. C E King might have nicest facility in East Houston. Metroplex is a whole different animal. You can’t tell people that in southeast Texas. Most live in a bubble.
  19. We’re building a new two story intermediate school behind HS baseball field, a new intermediate school off of 565, and a new admin building that is the replica of the original high school on Eagle drive. No talk of a second high school.
  20. It’s sad in Jefferson County honestly. It will always be my home area, but it’s depressing. You go to any major city area and it’s vibrant, a full of life. The population in Beaumont and surrounding areas have stayed stagnant or decreased for a good while now. Hopefully, one day it rebounds and gets more attractive to live in the area.
  21. I don’t think so. Our major growth recently is in our lower level. About 6 more years is when I expect 6a.
  22. I have a Beaumont ISD education first, second HP beating a lot of teams over the years. I wouldn’t mind being HP. You said PA originally, not ISD. What’s wrong with homie? You did call me a dumdass?
