  1. Nederland has done something that Crosby hasn't done against PNG. Crosby has won how many in a row against us?

CougarCal, I can't get into with you. Once an Indian always an Indian.

+ We probably know alot of the same people. :)

My kid did have a pick six the last time PNG and Crosby played in a victory.  They won the year before that as well when he was a sophomore.  I only remember the last 2 because he was a part of that.  BTW, my money is on PNG this year.  Buddy G thinks differently.

  2. As I said previously,

    1. Central

    2. PN-G

    3. Ozen

    4. Vidor

Central uses their scrimmages like the NFL does the 1st 2 weeks of preseason, to see who else can play...

So Central using their scrimmages like the NFL to see who can play is cool, but if other teams do that, they need to schedule tougher scrimmages.  Hmmmmm! And Bigford I'm glad you said that!  We're on the same page as far as scrimmages are concerned.

  3. Soulja, Nederland may not do anything for athletically, but they are the best in the past 5 years (maybe even more) that your district has to offer.  Again, scrimmage:

    Verb1.scrimmage - practice playing (a sport)

  4. It shouldn't be hillarious.  Because Huffman won't prepare you for a lot of things that a championship team will see on their 6 game March to state.  The combination of team speed, size, and good coaching is what you have to prepare for...

That's one reason Nederland and Angleton are on the schedule when games count.  They play a team from your area that won how many straight?  Angleton is another test before they start the district campaign.  That's why Huffman isn't on the regular season schedule and Willis no longer is.

  5. They just appear to be more offensive than defensive ! They come across as kind of soft when it comes to physical play, IMO !

Scrimmage, work on things you need improving on, find out how kids who haven't played yet can do, and keep it a little vanilla. To me it's hilarious when people are asking why they are scrimmaging Huffman.  Maybe next year they can put Aledo and Katy on the docket to scrimmage.

  6. Coug, I'm naive about drugs.  That started a couple of yrs after I graduated.  Question I have, MJ was supposed to mellow you out.  In your opinion, do you think today's is stronger, and making kids more aggressive?   I aways think about that when one of these folks have MJ in their system.  Just wonder if anyone else does.  Something must be different.

It can be laced with different things, but I personally think it stems from kids doing these synthetic knock offs, bath salts, and stuff like that.

  7. One other thing that comes up often is drugs.  Young folks on drugs (incl alcohol) are going to do things/react "out of character".   Maybe the saddest part of these sad incidents, is why so many young folks use drugs.  Times have changed.

When I was growing up in the late 80's plenty of kids were doing drugs, Mary Jane was the drug of choice.  Not as many problems then.  Now, with all of the crap that is out there, kids are doing much different/harder brain effecting drugs.
