At some point you have to be able to stop someone. If you try and out score people you can not turn the ball over and need to be mistake free on special teams also.

They are going to be young, but they've got some talent coming up. Offensive line is going to be really good. They obviously will look a lot different this year, and again I personally think the D line will be the question mark.

The only tournament they've been to that was a state qualifier was Lufkin. I think there is one more opportunity.

I watched the freshman team play Summer Creek last year and they had athletes on both sides of the ball. Was really impressed with the size of the offensive line. With Morse at the helm throwing to that big target on the outside, could be something electric. What will the defense look like though?

There was zero correcting from where I was sitting last year. I wasn't there Saturday so I don't have an opinion on what happened. I know what I saw last year SMH!!!

Every class has different leaders and hopefully this group of kids have someone step up. I will say that the parents commenting must not have been at the Crosby tournament last year and heard the ignorance coming out of some of the PNG players when they were playing GCM and got into it with one the moms from GCM.

Make sure you register with the NCAA eligibility center. There will be a few things you have to do with them including sending them SAT scores.

The point was when you added your lineman last year and put the pads on, you became a playoff team. After watching your 7-7 last year I didn't think your team would do that well. Maybe I didn't articulate that well, too many bud lights on the links. Congrats on winning the tourny yesterday, always better to win than lose. I was there to see some friends from Groves and to drop some gatorades and waters off to kids just trying to support them, nothing more nothing less. Anything else you need to know?

Yeah bro , I'm hating... Lmao, see what you don't know about me is I'm not a homer, I tell it like it is. If you look at my first post I was saying you can't put a lot of stock in 7-7. PNG was horrible last year in 7-7. They won this tourny that they were kicked out of last year. Congrats, yeah they kicked Vidor's a$$ last year even though they sucked in 7-7!!! Still hating I guess!!!Haters gonna hate.

I'm not going to get personal because I'm bigger than that. I sat with your fans today pal, I was the one in red in the sea of purple. If you're hanging your hat on 7-7 look at Baytown Lee a few years ago when they won state and then went 2-8. You guys were horrible last year and you win the tourny this year. Congrats, things I noticed, Murdoch playing defense, Walker playing cornerback, Morris playing QB which is a good move in my opinion. You don't know me so don't put words in my mouth. Ask the Budions, Hanrattys, Murdochs, and Lejunes who I am!

7-7 is so over rated. If you looked at PNG last year they were horrible. But when you throw on the pads and add the big uglies it's a different story. I did see Morrison throw a 45 go right at the end of the half to a big receiver that's going to be a junior this year. Good choice making Morris your QB IMO!!

Not all of these guys getting Tommy John surgery have played Select ball or year round ball have they? They should do some research on what pitches these guys are throwing, any new pitches they are trying, etc. Have there been any recent changes to the baseball?

From what I remember I was told you have to petition the UIL and they look at each case individually to ensure it's not a move for atheletic purposes. I didn't go through with it though, my son moved in with his grand parents and stayed in Crosby.

You'll see the coaches in the stands or talking to each other on the sidelines, but they can't coach. I'll be willing to bet your head coach will be there somewhere Saturday.

It was pretty testy between the two teams and eventually PNG was tossed.
