they did it 5 straight times to Humble. I swear I was watching Friendswood led Van Meter squad.
They onside kicked it once and gave it up at midfield. They pooch only gave them 10 extra yards.

Should be a good one. We will have to once again try and stay out of situations where penalties make it tough to get first downs. We also need to keep from giving Dayton a short field.
Does NC normally pooch kick to the other team and give up field position at the 40?

Ouch BH making a statement the last part of the year
Honestly, I think it says more about Humble. They have way too many players for this to happen.

Sit on the PN-G side...

Great game either way. Just suprised me. Win or lose it wasn't going to affect their seeding or Crosbys and after a fake punt early and an onside kick I just thought he would go for 2. No right or wrong descision either way. By the way I didn't see either of the 2 plays I mentioned above as the coach thinking this is the only way we can win. That team didn't play scared for sure. NC coach reminds me a lot of Vanmeter.
Oh they didn't play scared, all I was trying to say was he thought he was going to win in OT. He had confidence in his team and didn't want a missed 2 point conversion be the difference. That offense is tough to stop. The one thing I don't understand, if you're going to pooch kick and you pooch it to the 40-45, why not kick the onside kick? On other note, I think Nederland will have their hands full after seeing them play.

Not second guessing NC coach cause he had a great game plan but what you mentioned is why I would have gone for 2 and the win in regulation. Dude loves to gamble and when he called a timeout before the extra point I just knew he was going for it.
When you go for two though I think you're kind of saying this is my only chance to win. The people I was sitting with, we said about the 5:00 mark of they score late they would go for 2, but they kicked the extra point. I guess he didn't want it to come down to one play.

New Caney is a lot better than people think. Only weakness I saw was the kicking game.

Quite possibly the most horrible call I've ever seen!

Thank you WOS. My two cents, living with a coach... Does me no good to second guess him, Lol. And in this day and age of Internet, social media etc. You should not be waiting on a coach to give you a letter from a school. If you want to play college ball, contact the school you are interested in. Send film, send letters yourself. Go,for a unofficial visit, go to camps. If a school has not found you on social media, command met you themselves. You need to put in some work contacting them, Don't wait on them. There are other schools besides a D1 out there. D2, D3, Juco, NAIA.
If a college coach(recruiter) sends a letter to a school and the high school coach doesn't give it to that kid, it speaks volumes about the integrity of that coach.

Sometimes emotions get the best of us. Personally, after games win or lose, when I think I see something on certain plays and think I know better, I go down and ask. I ask why didn't you run this in a particular situation. Turns out, since I didn't watch that 80 hours of film this week and wasn't at practice, and didn't see exactly what scheme was going on, I was clueless. Coaching is much more than the X's and O's though and no matter what, sitting in the stands with people that second guess every play, every quarter of every game does get old. The problem I've heard of is when certain coaches aren't giving letters to kids from colleges. That to me is a much bigger issue than if you punted on 4th down or passed it when you should've run the clock down.

And if anyone needs examples of what not to say, just read most of Stattrax's posts. By the way, where did he go? He was red-hot Saturday through about Wednesday and then sort of peter'd out.
He said he was going to go back in to hibernation if they lost.

Just crush up some viagra, sprinkle it on some apples and call it a day.
Stay away from that synthetic viagra, I hear it's bad for you especially if it's mixed with cocaine.

Kam talking with him and telling him what steps to take after the season over, good thing other athletes are stepping up and showing us what to do.
I started to late when my son was in high school. My advice would be get about a 3 minute hudl video with his best plays and send them out to as many colleges as you can. It only takes one. Recruiting coordinators are listed on the colleges website. I got a lot of preferred walk on interest for my son because of how long I waited. That along with the camps would be a good start.

I'm not OctFeb's babysitter. just trying to rid ourselves of these pesky cougar fans that jump in on threads that don't relate to them to talk about how great they are.
I wasn't talking about how "great" Crosby is. I made a statement based on facts. I said Nederland would go undefeated in that district and was 30 something and 1 the past few years over there. The only team that has kept sweeps from happening the past few years(except last year). I also said if they were in this district over here they would have 2 losses already most likely 3 and possibly 4. Just a difference right now in the strength of the districts. As far as playoffs are concerned I think it will depend on match ups once again.

Please explain what you mean by this Sir? Should be interesting.

Random thought. Anybody for Crosby can be replaced except for Nathan White and Joseph Pickney.
Did you see the one play the center missed against Humble? I personally think a huge part of the defense is Harrison at LB.
