The one thing that really gives Crosby problems on defense is situations where receivers go down field and the QB scrambles. Last night against King their QB made some huge runs in those situations. That's the one scary thing about Ozen. I remember watching that young man they have in 2012, he can cause some problems.

.What about 2 weeks after channelview?...PNG has 3 losses with 2 of them coming in OT and the other one 3 yards from tying the game up....I don't see anything special from Dayton the leads me to believe that y'all are going to beat us
The team you came up 3 yards short on Dayton took them to the woodshed. I have to agree about the PNG doesn't have Hurts on their roster. I personally think PNG should run Haflin a bunch to set up the pass, but..... -
pickems not out yet. ;)
Thursday game? Im going.
Ozen in an upset. -

My one worry about Crosby is this being a Thursday night game, they seem to play flat on Thursdays.

I see 3-1 with Nederland winning from 21-5A. I do think PNG Dayton is a good matchup and PNG could run it on Dayton, but they'll throw it 30 - 35 times. Intriguing matchup is Central C E King. Watching King last night, they are solid and fast. When a little adversity hits though they lose their discipline.

Got to set the edge and quit letting 3 get to the outside. Offensive snaps have been high all night, that was a matter of time.
-
Anyone ever seen the officials spot the ball, move it to the hash, spot it, then throw it back to the original spot and measure again?
-
Does the King QB ever keep the ball on the zone read, if he does, it's there.
-
Some missed opportunities for King, Crosby got a big 4th down stop. Personal fouls hurt King. Noticed King moved #46 over the center, see if that helps stop the run up the middle. Should be a good second half.

Just announced on ABC13 barring an internet miracle this will be there game of the week. They will make it official at 10 tonight. If you haven't voted on Facebook, go vote!

21-5 A running back from C E King, Williams, no brainer in 22-5A, Seay.
-
Dang stupid phone, 4 to 5 yards a pop sustaining drives
-
Run it 40 times right at King and go 4 it give yards a pop down field, throw it 30 times and uh oh. Interested to see the game plan!

I pay out the A$$!

Maybe I chose the wrong word. Last year I kept hearing how they'd beat Elgin and maybe even win state and they got taken to the woodshed by a team that got beat the next week. What top 5 team beat them the year before? Was it close? I know the year before was the Vidor debacle. I was there for that...
Tied 28-28 last year with about 8 minutes left with the ball inside their 10, then the wheels fell off. Manor was the year before and Crosby was up something in the neighborhood of 26-13 at the half, but they were lucky to be there. Manor was inside the 10 4 times in the first hslf and came away with 6 points. They had some hosses. Elgin last year was a much different team without their QB. -
I have to disagree about meltdown, a loss in 2012 to a semi final team and a loss in 2013 to a top 5 ranked team doesn't mean you had a meltdown. Elgin also didn't have their QB the next week.
-
So basically all the other teams over there stink and have for 45 years.
-
A lot of PNG fans didn't come last year because of the fog and they knew the outcome.
-
That would be a great doubleheader, Nederland looking for a little revenge from earlier in the year, PNG looking for a little from last year in the playoffs. Sign me up!

A team in 21-5A that's getting better every year since they joined our district is New Caney. Those coaches on that sideline seemed to stay upbeat and kept the kids motivated even though they knew what was going to happen when they got off of the bus. Now they have a nice new stadium that may attract some people moving also. You never know!
