I've seen both Hitchcock and Columbus multiple times this year. They are both on another level than any of the teams from our district.

Columbus will play both Hitchcock and Bellville also. Silsbee will have a hard time with Hitchcock. Too much size and speed.

Hitchcock played up. HF is 4A and Hitchcock is 3A.

Ghost’s dad if Ghost doesn’t get to shoot some free throws against Crockett. 😁

He’s a pretty good player playing in 1A. As much as his dad has moved around I’d like to see him play against better competition in a larger classification. Maybe next year.

EC has a great team but getting to state takes more than that. Gotta have some luck on the way. Ranking doesn't mean everything but it does give you an idea of quality opponents. EC is ranked #11. They will likely meet up with #12 Coldsprings in the second round, #16 Diboll in the 3rd, #9 Malakoff or #15Lorena in the 4th, #7 New Waverly in the 5th and #4 CC London or #5 SA Cole or #8 Aransas Pass in the 6th round. Of course there will be upsets along the way but there are certainly quality teams to play on the way to the State Championship where #1 Dallas Madison or #2 Brock or #3 Peaster will be waiting. EC has been to state 3 times in the somewhat recent past and has a coach who isn't a stranger to winning state championships. Go Bucs!

HF won't have any problem playing with HJ and HH. They have a great coach and several really good players from Beaumont.
