Completely forgot Sneed. Yes Jalen is on that list. There are a lot of "All District" players that are left off the list. Coaches add players to the list to spread the wealth...especially on second team. Gaven is a good player for Lumberton, but not one of the top players in the area IMO.

We will all stay tuned lol. Hell we don't have anything else to do
-
You said ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ LOL. I didn't say it was you. Unless you are him
-
Well, I was just being polite. DV said he was back. LOL
-
Yes I did typo Bruce's name. I was getting ahead of myself LOL Now I can't just have 30 kids from Silsbee on the list. Mainly because it wouldn't be true. But I think I probably nailed the best ones. Plus this is returning varsity only
-
Ok...here's my list of best returning VARSITY players. No doubt some will disagree. That's the fun of it Also, there were some kids that would make the list but quit their team at the end of last year. I will leave them off because I have no idea if they are returning to the hardwood. They are in order by district and grouped by last years team, in alphabetical order (last name). Making sure no one thinks these guys are ranked on my list Lijon Smith - Jr. West Brook Darian Chatman - Jr. Memorial Tre Keller - Jr. Memorial Byron Arceneaux - Jr. Bmt. I don't know about scared. We did get SATCH this year...which by the way is changing their name to the Houston Mavericks. I may release the list of schools I reached out to later. Gonna wait and see how it plays out first.

I wouldn't say sleeping giant. But I do know they have a couple of really good players. If they could get some kids to move over, they would make some noise. Remember, to build it, it has to start in middle school. And kids jump all over in the BISD so its tough to have a true feeder school in the BISD like in smaller districts.

Working on the Kelly schedule right now as you know Without much luck
-
It's coming.....

I'm talking about kids who currently play basketball. Middle school, AAU, 9th and JV. True you can develop talent, but by the 10th or 11th grade...its too late for "MOST" kids. They are who they are. Now if you can grab them in the 7th grade, different story. And I know there are exceptions to the rule, but if you don't have them playing and training year round, those Freshmen and Sophs wont really evolve into top area talent. And judging from the kids that I know, that top area talent is at Central by a WIDE margin. Ozen is next and West Brook, even the kids walking the halls and only playing at Rogers Park, are a distant 3rd
-
Ah but I said "most" of the talent. And that's true today. I know the 14U, 15U and 16U kids from Beaumont. With the exception of 1 or 2 kids, "MOST" of the talent is at Central. Followed by Ozen. But West Brook has a VERY good Soph point guard
-
Memorial is loaded with young talent. Most of the Beaumont talent is at Ozen and Central. Easy pick
-
AH! Dusting off the cobwebs this morning lol. Yes I certainly do
-
Only difference being, "James Gamble" didn't coach at West Brook So I guess a coach would be moving to West Brook for "James Gamble" to return to his old school on Fannett Rd LOL
-
So if AB applies, MS and FP have no shot LOL
-
I would be more afraid of old ass teachers pounding you at your desk LOL
-
The season never ends for some of us lol. But I cant wait until November
-
Yes block schedules are more like the experience they will have in college. Most students we get from a public schools drop 2 grade points at Kelly. If they were a B student in public school, they become a D student at Kelly. And vice versa....if they go from Kelly to public school, they go from D's to straight A's and B's. Says a lot about our pathetic, sad public school system (Not all school districts...you know who you are lol). And before anyone says it...it has nothing to do with money. I hear this crap all the time. These kids are focused to work hard and parents....especially the ones who sacrifice more...STAY ON TOP OF THEIR GRADES. This has a lot to do with WHY they are focused to work hard IMO.
-
Dont know. But I heard Parquet registered at Kelly last week. I will check with the office Monday.

I hear ya. Just probably not the thread to comment on. Would be like going to an old buddies wedding and comparing his new wife to an ex...... "damn, what happened to that hot girl you used to date?" Wrong place, wrong time lol. And name 5 seniors from this area playing basketball next year in college.
