Congratulations on a solid season!! -
After beating St. Thomas Friday night in the semi final game 74-46, Prestonwood Christian wins state again this year beating San Antonio St Anthony last night 111-66. They have now won state in 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. Beaumont Kelly was the only team that gave them a game in the playoffs losing in the 1st round 86-70.

#22 Beaumont Kelly vs. #1 Prestonwood Christian Game Stats Whoever told me they went 15-18 from 3 pointers was WAY off. The 3rd quarter killed us. Have to play all 4 quarters to beat the best team in the state. I think Silsbee and Big Sandy are the two with the best shots. Everyone else is a long shot

Congrats on a great season Dogs! -
If this is your first Silsbee game, you will get a close up look at a massive beat down. If you want to see them challenged, you will have to make a trip to San Antonio

A reply from "Uncle Pig" on this topic is CLASSIC! LOL

Odds of Ozen and Central playing in Region Finals
winwin replied to BADSANTA's topic in High School Boys Basketball
College coaches usually provide the best measuring stick. Not to take anything away from the Ozen backcourt, but the folks at Texas A&M selected JJ Caldwell and Southland Conference Northwestern St grabbed Boyd. Not even close to the same boat. -
I agree that you should stop pressing. Even putting the bench in is ok. But the 5 on the floor have to keep playing hard and try to score. Whats missing in the conversation is HOW the score was run up. We beat Sabine Pass last year by 90 without pressing and with the bench in. Just looking at the score, one may think we were going all out and tring to kick em when they were down. But that wasnt the case
-
The better lesson is to finish what you start. Give it 100% until the end. You show mercy and respect when you pick someone up off the floor after you dunk on them. People get the two confused. I believe you can push kids and adults to compete until the end in sports and at the same time show mercy and compassion for people in need. I know people that turn into monsters while competing and then give you the shirt off their back.

Good sportsmanship would be how you handle yourself while you are playing hard...even blowing someone out. We have played teams and with our worst players on the team and blew teams out. The problem is when people whine and try to put in rules to stop the blow out

We have spent enough time together so I will answer for him...the rule sucks
