Silsbee wont lose to a local team for the next five ( possibly 8) years

Lawd help us if Kelly was to beat Silsbee in bball. You would have HJ posters coming out the woodwork.

I'm predicting Kelly will be one of the top 5...errrr top 3 schools in basketball next season. Just received some *ahem* news. Sheez!!

suffice it to say, all of their programs rate favorably with most of the schools in the state.   Of course, they are able to actually teach instead of preparing students for a standardized test.  (Less government interference some might say  )

How is their communications program?

it's a private school.  Without recruits, it wouldn't have any students.  

Coached against Drew and Kevin last year. On a junior high level they were unstoppable. All kelly needs is a 6'6 kid to match up against those schools from Houston and Dallas and they could make some noise in then playoffs.

Today was the first day of school at Kelly. We have 4 returning Varsity starters...three Juniors (6'2 Cannon Broussard - Nederland) 5'10 John Kraemer - Beaumont and 5'11 Tevin Baker - Port Arthur) and one Sophomore (6'2 Jomard Valsin - Port Arthur). Add to that returning Sophomore (5'11 Jakobee Dill) who was our 6th man last year. We added a Junior that transferred from Central (6'3 Dareiyus Richard). Freshman 6'3 Kevin Dotson (Nabbed from Central) may get some Varsity time this year and should really help us. I might add, 6 of those 7 players played in our Defenders organization

​This tourney normally has between 10 and 16 teams. One year they had 20.

So not a "varsity only" tourney?

You can't run an AAU system in high school. The talent level in high school is too widely diverse,

​LOL. Only difference was that HJ knew they weren't playing the 17U Elite Team out of Houston. HJ didn't really play to win and my team, Defenders Kraemer, was short 3 players for that game. So, it played more like a Summer League game which was good because everyone got in some good work.

While national rankings and college offers are nice there is lots of time for change between the time a kid is 14 and when actually matures enough physically to play college ball. All the kids on this list are going to be really good players before they are done.

Big fan of Eli's.  Solid player with a diverse skill set.  Just saying Jaylon Williams is the top player in the class in this area.  I predict the national rankings and college offers will reflect this.  One national service already has him 46th in the country. 

​Silsbee does not have a very good communication program, but has one heck of a FFA program

​According to some of the folks on here, summer ball is more meaningful.
