Talked to a couple newton coaches they said they have around 102 kids 9-12 all grades are practicing tomorrow only 10 through 12 there today about 60 kids they have a really big 9th grade class and sophomore class. 102 is alot for little ole newton considering they only have 275 kids on the entire high school

Instead of hating on WOS and Newton you should be excited that a couple of SETX schools made the state list that is awesome regardless if it'd a legit ranking or not. I will say this eagleswoodville#1 Newton would wipe the field with your team been doing it for years just saying. Anyway the ranking means nothing but I think it's cool that little on Newton made the Top 25 in the state that's exciting that they have that much respect for Newton that shows that all these games newton has won over the past 5 decades is starting to pay off state wide

What's so surprising about a Newton prediction? Newton is loaded this year and the next 3 to 4 years only lost 2 starters on defense last season and every skill position player on offense is back with some more coming in this season. Newton could very well be back in Arlington again this season

That is awesome. I wish Newton could pass a bond to get some much needed improvements for their stuff. The stuff here is so out of date its unreal.

I'm sure they will be rolling well about the time Newton comes to town on Week 5

Thats pretty good schedule for Hardin but going to be tough to win a lot of games

They have the young Foster who got hurt last season Corbin I think is his name who I bet could play that LB spot

They are going to be really good. They only had 2 seniors playing significant minutes on defense in the playoffs everyone else younger guys. Offense has to replace 3 offensive lineman but everyone else is back and getting faster bigger and stronger

We lost 3 offensive lineman and 2 defensive lineman.

Being a graduated of Newton HS I have been through a lot tougher workouts than that. We would work our tails off everyday in Athletics 100 jump squats isn't a lot in 30 minutes

I'm sure that is still on the table probably depends on what happens with Newton's district and if they need that extra game before district with Deweyville dropping down

They know they are in a 6 team district last 2 years and now Deweyville dropped out so could be a 5 team district so still may have to find 1 more game
