I agree, HJ should have beaten BC, not losing any sleep that HJ lost. BC is a average team ??? -

Yes Sir we don’t mind losing (get the brakes beat off us) to those elite, above average teams, but don’t complain when Yates beat the brakes off teams that are below us. Tell you what if BC makes it to the Regionals this year I will give them a Good Team Rating. -

I never said this BC Team was on the level of Yates Sir, Yates isn’t on the same level with those Dallas Schools (Faith Family, Duncanville). This was A Big Win for BC today but it doesn’t change the fact that they are an average team. I guess my rating system is different from others, a Good Team wins their district or finishes in 2nd place. A Good Team makes a deep run in the playoffs. I look forward to playing BC in the Quarters (if they beat Wharton) and if we are able to beat the Silsbee v HF winner. Hey this is my personal opinion. -

Yates vs Silsbee should be an up and down track meet, 32 minutes of fun. It’s no secret that that Yates will run and press and use their bench -

Let’s give the population thing a rest, this senior laden group who play very well together could not beat a freshman loaded Silsbee Lite Team. I didn’t see anyone talking about Bridge City making any noise in the playoffs, but this could be the dark horse in the playoffs this year. I can’t say this is a above average or elite team that finished third in their district this year. TxHoops I’m curious on how you rate this BC team ??? -

This was HJ year to possible beat Yates (if they would have played each other), but HJ couldn’t beat an unranked, average Bridge City Team. I love it that HJ and their head coach took that L. -

Silsbee vs Hamshire-Fannett Friday, February 19, 7pm Lamar State College, Port Arthur -
Yates needs to focus on Sealy, Please remember your prediction, hopefully we will get an opportunity to discuss it later in the playoffs
-
This year teams won't have to worry about their winning percentage for the match-ups in The State Semi-Finals. I like this format this year where Region 1 & 2 vs Region 3 & 4
-
Yes Sir it is possible that Faith Family vs Carter in the Regional Final, Paris might have a say in the Regional Semi- Final game against Carter (Paris beat Carter last year). Argyle (Region 1) vs Faith Family (Region 2) in one State Semi-Final. I would love to see Yates (Region 3) vs Stafford or LaMarque (Region 4) in the other State Semi-Final Game (game should be in or near Houston).
-
It is possible that Yates will play Silsbee in the Area, HJ in the Quarters, Austin LBJ in the Regionals. I do like Region 3 plays Region 4 in the Semi-Finals, let Argyle deal with Faith Family in their Semi-Final.

If the rules are violated but you have friends in position of authority, the incident can get watered down or written as a misunderstanding. My favorite one is "the incident was discussed between both parties privately and we will handle the incident internally the outcome will not be available to the public" We will discuss the incident at the UIL Finals Party in San Antonio or at the next class reunion lol
-
Your statement is probable true, I would prefer to have a person of authority (friend or classmate) that has the power to control the income for the largest inter - school organization in Texas UIL. At the end of the day, who has the ultimate authority, I'll take UIL for $100 and a trip to San Antonio
-
It's good to have friends, classmates in position of authority that can influence the outcome.
-
Your changes of hitting the Texas Lottery is greater then The UIL or that particular school district handing out any suspensions. This incident will get swept under the rug as a misunderstanding
-
You may be disappointed with the decision, we are talking about HJ and UIL
-
So you didn't see the player from HJ throw and punch, and the player from Huffman bleeding after the skirmish, little brawl, or fight. I know three people that saw a few punches and someone needed a cut doctor.
-
I second that, if it were my Lions involved, there would be suspensions without hesitation
-
This is what makes this particular incident so interesting reading how people describe what occurred from a little brawl, to a skirmish, to a fight where punches was thrown. You can have 10 witnesses to an incident and get several different stories of what occurred. Crazy
-
My personal opinion is that this particular incident should be treated as an altercation that occurred on the floor, regardless if it occurred before, during or after the game. Punches was thrown on the court. If the altercation would have occurred in the parking lot, law enforcement would have gotten involved. Coaches, and players should be held accountable for their actions. If the UIL doesn't respond to this incident with suspensions it may open the door for players to just wait until the end of games to seek their revenge.
