AggiesAreWe, you are correct I am clueless about the teams in district 22 other then Silsbee. My opinion is I don’t see any team in district 22 other then Silsbee making it to the Regional Semi in Huntsville therefore I believe The Tigers should win this district

RCS SPORT OTHER NEWS!Melbourne Australia was declared champion of the Goose Creek Memorial Tournament after nipping Silsbee. Unsigned senior, Braelon Bush torched the nets for 45p in the competitive loss. The reason this winner is recognized as 1st place is because district rivals Sam Houston and Bellaire claimed to have issued a pre-event warning to the tournament directors - since they already play each other twice in district, they would not play each other unless in the championship. Sam Houston head coach, Ralph Barreras issued the following statement regarding the matter: "We were scheduled to play Bellaire in the semifinals, but we agreed before the tournament that we would only play in the finals. Originally, we were on opposite sides of the bracket, but they changed it and said they would make some adjustments if we met in the semifinals. When he (tournament director) contacted the other two coaches, they didn't want to make any changes, so (Bellaire head coach) Glover and I agreed to walk away."

RCS Sports PATROIT CLASSIC Sam Houston dismantled Furr 114-42. Sophomore Kameron Burton has been playing well and contiued last night with 15p and 6r. Silsbee defeated Hou Austin 80-71 behind 50p from Braelon Bush (2020), who on Tuesday became the all-time leading scorer in Silsbee HS history. Bush has really been cooking this season (124p in last 3 games), and once Silsbee receives their supplemental players from the football team (still in the playoffs), they should be a serious threat to dethrone Yates HS.

Bush might go for 100 pts against Lee at the rate he is scoring this season.

BADSANTA, Yates might be located in a city of 2.1 million but that only means it’s more school tipping into our athletes. It is no secret that HISD is doing everything in their power to keep Lamar, Bellaire & The Heights in 6A. Example #1 There is a HISD school bus that picks up kids in front of Yates and transports those kids to the schools I mentioned above. Lamar High is allowed to get kids from all over the city. The football athletes that suppose to go to Yates are going to Fort Bend Marshall, Shadow Creek and Lamar. HISD schools are considered low performance schools and parents are sending their kids to the surrounding counties. Let’s talk about the Catholic and Prep Schools that are giving out scholarships and a better education that is tipping into the inner city kids.

Final Yates 46 Montverde 98 Yates was not in there full court press for this game. This is the result when you have a public school playing an Elite Academy. The games were blowouts but it allowed the kids an opportunity to play against elite talent that we don’t see in the area. It was going to be an up hill battle to beat those teams and without the team at full strength while it was a beat down. I applause Coach Wise for not backing down from the challenge after knowing that he would not have his full squad available. These games are know behind us and we look forward to district play and playoffs. Again I applause Wise for playing the #1 or #2 team in the country and not being satisfied with just playing good to average teams in Texas.
