Hey guys let’s stop disrespecting Hardin-Jefferson, this discussion should be about Yates vs HJ. I’m looking for a competitive game out of HJ,? I can’t say I now much about them or there style of play. I believe the last time both schools played Yates won a close game so I would think HJ might have a little pay back in mind. Yates press should not be anything HJ has not seen this year. I can’t speak about there athleticism, height or bench.

BADSANTA let’s be real both districts had pitiful teams but what district doesn’t. Bridge City, Orangefield & Hampshire Fannett was just as BAD as Kashmere, Washington & Worthing. KIPP was only a fundraiser game at the school. Both sides of the playoff bracket (4A Region 3) is kindly weak this year, I believe a 4th Place Team is Still playing in the lower half of the bracket (Hillsboro) while the top bracket has all division winners in the Quarterfinals. Yates is focused on HJ then the winner of Navasota - LIberty Hill. Silsbee good luck and we hope to see y’all in Huntsville Saturday

Yates needs to limit their turn overs and work on the press. Coach needs to continue to play the entire bench. Don’t mind the easy baskets we give up to the opponents, just keep it a track meet. The Lions need to continue their current average of 98ppg.

My last comparison, it took Silsbee 3 qtr to pull away from NF, it took Yates 1qtr to embarrass WOS. I’m just praying that Yates can hang with either Hardin Jefferson or LCM

It really doesn’t matter now, Silsbee beat NF that finished 3rd in our division by 30 and Yates beat WOS that also finished 3rd in Silsbee’s division by 61. Nice win tonight Tigers

I don’t see how WOS was able to score 60+ pts twice against Silsbee this year??? If our staters (Yates) played the 2nd half they would not have scored 49 pts. The 2nd qtr WOS was tried, not getting back on defense and careless or tried turnovers. I don’t see how they scored 60 against The Defending 4A Champs, they were pitiful
