WOW are they (Silsbee) schedule to play Ozen & Central this season??? I spoke with the young man from Silsbee (McCain) at Yates regarding the Ozen or Central match up and he give me a big smile and indicated that he can't wait to play both schools

Please keep in mind how difficult it is for a team to repeat in Finals. Silsbee is the favorite therefore everyone will play there A Game against them. Silsbee should attempt to schedule/play National Ranked teams this season.

RCS SPORTS REPORT 04-05-16 2018 guard Jalen Sneed is also making a move but this is not a summer team move, he is transferring high schools. He is leaving Ozen and enrolling at Hardin Jeferson. It had been known that things were not peachy-keen at Ozen and many had anticipated a move. Doug Jones spoke to Sneed and asked "Why HJ?". He replied "Its a Great School, and the ball will be in my hands more, and I will be a bigger part of the operation and the team." He went on to add, "Ozen really didnt give me a chance to lead and thats what I want to do." Now remember a week ago we reported that sophomore Elijah Parquet was leaving HJ and attending Beaumont Kelly HS. So this is basically a good game of musical chairs going on in Beaumont.

If we listen to your way of thinking THE MAJORITY OF HISD INNER CITY SCHOOLS should close, except Lamar, Bellaire, Reagan and Sam Houston. Maybe HISD can combine Yates, Worthing and Sterling into one and make it a 5A school. Yates will be fine lol

YES I agree, all of the kids on Yates (current) team is from Houston, and the kids that transfer back to Yates live in Houston lol

Yates Won 2 On The Court & 2 In The Court, I would consider that "Great " so the Silsbee Team that lost to Yates a few years ago wasn't their Best Team ???

It's funny how I keep reading how Yates doesn't have the same team from a few years ago. It's difficult to duplicate a team that went undefeated, Won The State (Back2Back) and National Title. Yates will be fine this coming season. I see no reason why Yates shouldn't be heading up I-45 North to play at Sam Houston. If my memory is correct Yates has a nice record playing at Sam Houston. I read every season how Great these teams are from SETX but I have yet to see the following within the past decade: 1. Win State 2. Go undefeated 3. Be more Consistent in playing for the title (One and done doesn't count) I'm waiting to see who's alumni has accomplished those goals WITHIN THIS DECADE (10 yrs)

Yates will be losing 4 of there starters, but the bench and JV will be fine. Yates will continue to play a tough non district schedule, stay focus and work on team ball during the weak district schedule and then prepare for The Defending Region 3 Champs Silsbee Tigers.

The blue print in beating Silsbee; 1. Above average Guards 2. Guard the 3 point line 3. Take a charge 4. Full court press for 3qtr's 5. Slow the game down 4th qtr, make Silsbee play half court Yates used that formula twice a few years ago

The Dallas Area Schools has won 4A Lincoln (Back2Back) & 5A Lancaster. H-Town will have to put a stop to that next season lol
