  1. Congradulations Coach Slack. I always thought he did a good job at Liberty when he was here. His football knowledge and discipline I think may be what HD needs to turn the corner and advance to the next level.
  2. Very good person and a very good coach. He coached my son here in Liberty and I promise you he gets the kids attention. He would make a good head coach
  3. I think that Splendora, Coldsprings, and Liberty are actually pretty even as far as talent goes. However with Splendora having a home field advantage ( they play both Liberty and Coldsprings in Splendora) I'd have to pick them as the favorite. Second should be a battle but I'd pick Coldsprings and then Liberty. Shepard will not challenge these three teams.
  4. The way things went last night your right, AJ did ok and Cody did look pretty good. I expected more from AJ, he really has alot of raw talent.
  5. This evening at the Dayton purple and white game watch the QB on the other team opposite Cody Green. This QB named AJ Dugat who will probably play receiver during the season just might be a better QB than Green. Alot of people think so.
  6. This ought to be a great game. Dayton should have a much improved team this year even though they were pretty good last year and WOS is, well they're WOS.
  7. I think its getting closer to happening all the time but I would love to see Dayton against Barbers Hill.
  8. I think for Liberty it will be the first game they play. Its against Bridge City and I think it will show what these two teams might have in 2007. Both teams are young and show alot of promise so who can get out of the gate first.
  9. Sounds like First Team All District to me
  10. What will be the defining game for your school in 2007
  11. He has told the kids as of now he will be back this season
  12. It will be between Liberty, Coldsprings, and Splendora. You have to give Splendora the edge because their line play is so good.
  13. For Liberty they will be Josh White, Steven Gee, Arlando Senegal, and Dante Winters
  14. Josh White from Liberty will be an impact player this year. Write it down
  15. I've got to say that they Hazelwood QB from Kirbyville is amazing. Really accurate and a strong arm. I didn't know he only weighed about 145, does anyone know what his height is. When we played them last year he only looked about 5'6". That doesn't matter though he is a good QB
  16. Liberty is really playing well right now. Two strong pitchers in Tyler George and Morgan Potetz. Now that they have a little confidence going they will really be tough.
  17. Kirbyville had a good team this year and should be even stronger next year.
  18. Your probably right. The strongest district going into the playoffs was the one with WOS, Silsbee, and Kirbyville. All three had good chances of advancing to the next round but all failed to do so. This had to be dissapointing to the area. The Dayton, Nederland, and Central district arent done yet but this district was not as strong as it has been in the past. For the most part any time these teams played anybody good outside the district they lost. The Crosby, BarbersHill, and Galena Park district were weak as evidenced by their loses in the first round. The Liberty, Splendora, and Coldspring district were very weak with only Splendora putting up much of a fight in the playoffs. All in all this was a down year for southeast football but alot of these teams have alot to build on for next year and hopefully return to the playoffs and be a force to be dealt with and advance more than one round.
  19. It was a great ballgame. Unfortunatly one of these teams has to lose. From what I saw Giddings came to play and WOS for the most part didn't. Lots of mistakes, the snap over the punters head, missing open receivers downfield, and receivers slipping at a bad time. Throw all that in with some questionable play calling and you get what you saw last night. A couple of times WOS had receivers open but the QB put just a little to much air under the ball and gave time for the Giddings defensive backs to catch up to the play. You've got to give Giddings credit though. They are a heck of a team and I'm sure they took WOS out of their game. Congradulations to WOS on a fine season and best of luck to Giddings on their march to the title.
  20. Your exactly right. White is one of the better, if not the best, LB in the district and somebody will have to step it up at RB because losing Edwards and Beatty to graduation will be a huge loss.
  21. Without a doubt put White and Brents as inside linebackers. They would be the best we've had since Havard and Moss a few years ago.
  22. Actually Liberty should have a few options at running back next year including Josh White, Dante Winters, Steven Gee, Jeff Gibbs, and maybe Justin Dalco. The problem with this is that all these players are excellent defensive players also. There may be alot of interchanging going on. White will be alot better at linebacker next year and hopefully they'll put Michael Brents alongside him in the middle. They should get good help from Sophomores to be Brents, Justin Vater, and a running back they had but I can't remember his name. The freshman class this year had alot of big kids that should help cause Liberty seems to never have any size on the line. Not alot of skill position players in this class though.
  23. That was probably because we couldn't catch your Quarterback, running backs and receivers in order to do something to them where we coulda got called for a penalty.
  24. For anybody that has a child in the band, or helps the band in various ways, or is a band director, I promise you that the football games would not be anywhere as much fun if you guys werent there. Its probably a thankless job but we all enjoy the bands even if we dont say so.
  25. Mustangs by at least 20. I'll be there Friday with a bunch of friends.
