I've got to agree. Being the champions of anything will be something that will stay with you. These young men who win district will always be remembered for that.

It all boils down to this game for Liberty to have a chance for the playoffs. As good as Liberty looked against Coldspring 2 weeks ago they looked equally bad the next week against Cleveland. Splendora has been playing pretty consistant so far this season and I'm sure they'll be fired up with their home crowd behind them. If Liberty loses this game we're out so I think our boys will be ready to give it their all. Liberty pulls the upset and wins by a TD. Does this make me a homer?

I'd be suprised if Mattingly didn't get the job. He's well respected in NY and even though I hate the Yankees I always liked Mattingly. Awesome baseball player

Cleveland just flat out beat us. I can't see how they haven't won another game before us. They looked pretty good and were well prepared for us. Totally shut down the running game we have had so much success with. In all the years I've watched Liberty football, I think this is as flat as I've ever seen us play. I hope the boys can keep their heads up and play for pride from here on out and get ready for next year. We're still so proud of our Panthers.

I don't know what their names are but if you're from that area you'll know who I'm talking about. The past three teams we've played have had three awesome running backs and that is Kirbyville, Diboll, and Coldspring. All three including our own Josh White should receive scholarships.

I know this isn't football related but on Oct. 8th, Lance Cpl Jeremy Burris, who grew up in Liberty, was killed in Iraq defending our country. Driving home today I was proud to see American flags along the highway between Dayton and Liberty almost every 20 feet or so. They brought his body home today and his funeral will be tomorrow. My sympathies and prayers go out to his family.

Wow, I'm kinda suprised that so many people are picking Cleveland. Even though they haven't won a game this year they always seem to play us a good game so Liberty will have to play with all the emotion they had against Coldspring to beat the Indians. That being said, I believe Liberty will come out ready to play and win this game by 14.

Heard this against Coldspring Friday night. The refs threw a flag against them and about 5 of their coaches were on the field and someone on our side of the field yelled " Get off the field, bus driver"

I agree. I think Hamshire Fannet and Hardin have shown great improvement.

You're right, both of these guys had great games. Dante also scored a TD on offense when Josh went out.

I wish Liberty would drop the Diboll and Stafford game cause I hate the drive. We should schedule Hardin Jefferson and Orangefield instead.
