2.
LCM you may be pretty good this year. You may beat PNG. Don't start claiming anything until you start getting some cred around SETX. PNG had to work week in and week out to get the respect of everyone in the district last year. Its your turn to do the same. Until you prove you are worth something besides a 7on7 team then I will predict a possible fourth playoff spot.
Good post OldSchool

BTW,  heading to the jetties tomorrow.  Will let ya know how I do.
When I first got a slip at the SPA, you could fish, crab from the bank which was good BUT on most every occassion I witnessed locals inside running crabtraps, fishing ect. THEN they they banned all fishing, crabbing, smoking because it was getting out of hand when infact all they had to do is restrict it to the slipholders, you can still do the above BUT you have to do it from your boat, there was some good flounder fishing along the bulheads, my grandson caught his first flounder in there before the ban. BTW it was hard to loose a bait on the La side of the jetties yesterday...
That's what I was saying about being a slip owner.  If I rented there, I'd be good to go.  Makes no sense, unless they do extensive background checks before renting you your slip. Now on to the report... The water at the jetties wasn't too clear, and every weather report that I listened to called for SW winds,5-10 mph....WRONG!  The winds were brutal!...At least 20 mph.  Very tough fishing on the jetties early in am.  No shortage of sheepsheads, but trout were scarce...even on live shrimp. Bright spot was that during our search, we did a bit of exploring and found a spot where we caught flounder, trout, reds (another Grand Slam for me) and 28 very nice crabs.  I even had THREE break-offs from a freight train redfish.  Turned out to be a good day for my me and my son. And sorry, can't reveal "the spot".
 5. Wow!  You can already smell the Nederland jealousy!  [img][Hidden Content]]

 7.
I would think most existing lites would be loaded with Sand trout >>when the tide gets rite. When I had my 30'er I kept it at Sabine Port Auth, seems as if the lites there always had sandies with a few people fishing for them, thing is during the day I saw the guards there try and run boats out of there, some left some didn't. I never saw any boats fishing the lites inside, I really don't see how the guards can keep a boat out considering its 'navigatable water' but I'm sure they will try, besides there are plenty of other lites in the channel...
I like fishing the lights there.  The guards always run me off tho'..."Homeland Security"!!!  Really pisses me off too!
 8.
I could use a boatload of sand trout. Some people don't like them but I do.
I love too.  Some say that they turn mushy after freezing, but I never found that to be true.
 9. Man we missed you!.................uh, were you gone???  J/K
 10.
Not to ruffle anybody's feathers, but I talked to a person who worked on the stadium job for the electrical contractor thats performing the electrical work.....anyway, he didn't seem to think that the stadium would be completed by the projected date. In fact, "there's no way it will be dont by the 20th of August" were his exact words. I dont want this to be true, but I would prepare yourselves to play the first few games at either Zaharius or Durley. In addition to all the rain that we've gotten over the last few weeks, that will surely slow down progress. I sincerely hope that I'm wrong, and that the information I've been given is inaccurate, cause I would love to play Ozen in the first game in the new digs. But it aint lookin' good gang! WBbear, what have you heard?
82'  I told my wife a month and a half ago (BEFORE the soil problems) that, after driving by the stadium, there would be no way to "complete" it by the 1st game.  The turf may be done to the point that a game could be played, but the entire facility has a ways to go.  However, after those soil issues, I'm not too sure about the turf now. I hope it's complete.  I'm anxious to see it.
Not sure how many he had against LCM, but he had like 7 yards against us... ;D ;)
BrenhamFan,  Why is it that you feel the need to hijack threads, and start new threads, with the sole purpose of bringing up that game....yet again. O.K. everyone...Brenham beat PNG last yr!  You can let it go now.  It's a new year.
