Can someone explain to me why a penalty would be assessed against the defense for 12 men on the field, before the snap of the ball? I've asked around to allot of people and no one knows the answer, so I'm asking on here for some clarification. This penalty came as players were shuffling on and off the field, and there was NO defensive huddle.

They only have an advantage if they scout the team the previous week. Any team has the same opportunity to do that, regardless of where the teams are from. So, the short answer would be no. IMO

etbu, you're right. You can NEVER count Ned out. Neumann seems to find a way to be competitive. It's gotta be a downer to lose their QB on the 1st game of the season. They'll bounce back.

I'm watching the encroachment of "coach bashing" too. If it gets worse, they'll be called down too, trust me. Right now they're just blowing off steam. And BTW, I'm "going" nowhere. Been here since before the board was started. Guess you'll have to get used to me. ;D
