  1. As usual, this rag makes no mention of MC teams, other than the fact that they're in the same district as those precious Bmt. teams.
  2. Bullets, Make sure you register w/ FEMA, and save ALL of your receipts. You should get reimbursed for those expenses.
  3. The best thing for these peoples mind right now is to be sittinging at a football stadium on Friday nights. Hopefully, no ones season gets cancelled. I agree Gas, Since there's nothing that can be done about certain things, it's good to see a good game and free your mind of the mess for a short while. It's kinda like resetting your mind to get going again.
  4. [Hidden Content] FEMA Boss says "You will be reimbursed for your hotel"! He didnt' say MIGHT!
  5. It's gonna have to get an awful lot closer than the cone for me to evacuated. I didn't evacuate last week and I'm sure glad of that.
  6. Uh, I thought Moody cancelled this game. Or am I misunderstanding what I was reading?
  7. Well, while we're on the subject of "off topic"... I also saw a woman who was the 1st person to win a $Mil on Deal or No Deal the other night. Man, what's this world coming to?
  8. The big HEB in Ned has been open the whole time... in case anyone might need some TP or something.
  9. From my clouded memory, I always thought that Nederland fans were a little slow to get excited early on in the season. I've felt that way for years. Unfortunately in Nederland, winning percentage has a direct relationship to fan excitement level. When the team starts pulling out some big wins in big/high profile games, fan support & enthusiasm will increase. Don't feel like the Lone Ranger NedDog. PNG fans are the exact same way. Friday night. I thought I was at a wake instead of a PNG game. Pretty quiet on both sides of the stadium.
  10. I told him not to use those extra long Q-Tips anymore! Brings about a whole new meaning to "Going Deep"!
  11. If this is the case, why wasn't "every district game" played after Rita? I think it's going to depend on when a storm hits and how many weeks available to play before the playoffs start. I could be wrong tho... my wife says I am all the time.
  12. And what does being a moderator have to do with anything? Are you one of those guys that think a mod should be neutral to all games all the time? Not so. As far as the crowd goes, BH MAY have had more fans (as they should), as the stands could be deceiving, but like I said, count the tickets. And we could go on and on about how BH did actually have 1 sustained drive or not, but when you look at all the gifts BH got (like the snap 2 miles over the punter's head that was called dead because of another BH penalty) and the fumbled punt that gave them another TD, BH had plenty of opportunities to win the game, but they were just flat out-played. And lastly, your interpretation of what you saw vs. mine, does not mean that I deem you a "no class" person. I'm sure you're just as classy as the next guy, and since this is America, you have every right...to be wrong.
  13. Coulda shoulda woulda. I don't think PNG would have pitched a shut out regaurdless if they held the ball or not. neither team dominated the other BH shoulda Coulda Woulda won the game with some breaks as well. Uh....Were you at the same game I was at? BH scored 2 td's off fumbles...one was so close to your goal line that it was a cakewalk to score. And both were only 1 play away from a score.BH NEVER put together a real drive and other than a few good catches and runs, were never a threat all night. The reality is that the score could easily been 28-0, w/o those 2 fumbles. Oh, and BTW, count the tickets again. PNG easily had more fans than the home crowd too.
  14. You keep it? Sorry for the delay tvc...No, we didn't keep it. we don't have a shark permit. I don't care to eat them anyways.
  15. dont talk about my alma mater lol i miss my school song. i forget what the fight song was...SFA85 you remember what it was? It went like this..."Oh Blue and Grey of Austin High"... and then I don't remember anymore, but I always say "stick a needle in your eye!"
  16. Best Team: PNG's 1975 No real blow-outs, just good, sound defense, and solid offense that was not to be denied. Best Game: PNG vs. WOS 1999 WOS wins by 1 pt. VERY exciting Best Player: Dustin Long. I still can't believe some of the plays he made in H.S.
  17. Man! Where's PATitan when you need him? All he could ever talk about was how PNG/Ned was afraid to play PAM, and how bad PAM would stomp a mud hole in us, but this scrimmage sure didn't seem to indicate that. Looks like it's gonna be a long year for PAM in 5-A again this yr. Maybe they'll do better if they drop down to 4-A.
  18. Uh, I thought all the other games were just for show anyways. ;D
  19. I hate to say that you are right but you are ;D There is more folks trying to make a name for their selfs in the community than watching the darn game!!!! PNG will not have more fans that BH! First game of the year at home this place will be PACKED!! After the 2 but whoopens that BH and PNG took from 3A's tonight I can't see either of teams being very dominate for game 1 Oh, I wouldn't put too much stock in those scrimmages. Although it's a good chance to evaluate your players and test their stamina, you sure can't judge a teams future by that, since so many adjustments can be made before the real games are played, those scrimmages can be deceiving.
