Most seemed to have missed the real idea behind this thread. I think what he was asking was not about fan support in general, but why in the world would a fan, in this case a Vidorian, squeeze into a packed stadium to openly root AGAINST the home side, when there were PLENTY of good seats on the visitors side, the team he was pulling FOR. The sweetest thing about this scenario was how stupid he looked as the game progressed... I LOVE IT!!!

Go back and look at the actual game and not the scores BH. LM scored on a 70+ yd. play where the D had the man in the backfield, but got away. We also gave up the ball , giving them a short field. Take those plays away and LM had 1 drive for a TD. Not exactly a blow-out from a top rated team (at the time) against a team picked to come in 5th IN THEIR DISTRICT. LM's just not that impressive, unless they've mad some major changes since then. You'll see.

I'm not impressed w/ LM's "speed". PNG contained it just fine and Lumberton's LB's and secondary are really quick. They impressed me more than LM's. I still think Lumberton wins.

Well Joey, if you look at it, GP only had one thing going for them...McGraffie. He was QB, punter, returned punts,and kickoffs, and he drove the bus for the band. Other than him, they wouldn't have been in the playoffs in the first place. Not much fan support for a playoff game either.

I think it's even more critical to enfore on high schoolers, since they are still kids afterall and still growing. It's also where the benchmark for fair play is established and it's at the HS level that I beleive you need to nip it in the bud. HS is no place for cheap shots. JMO
