  1. My favorite reel was my Curado, until I got my Citica. I agree though that they are overpriced, but man, when you throw one of those for the 1st time, you start looking around for some extra change!
  2. It doesn't matter to me. IMO, our sorry rating is part of the reason why we're doing so well (like Lumberton). None of the "experts" picked either one of us to do well, and they're both blowing and going. I LOVE it. Put us in the bottom 50%, we'll talk on the field.
  3. I say yes. I beleive Lumberton will beat Ned IF they play the way they did against PNG. They're a good team and I don't think they'll let 1 loss derail them. They're more balanced than Ned, can run as well as pass and their defense is real scrappy. Lumberton takes the #2 spot.
  4. What the "H" are you talking about? Last year he went on TV and the papers saying that "LC-M just flat out whooped us". If you don't remember that, then you were just revelling in the win too long and didn't hear it (much like LC-M's team this yr...still living off last yrs. little success?).
  5. That isn't why I brought it up. He made the statement that Ned did it w/o anyones help, which isn't entirely true. Not debating Ned's efforts that put them in the position to go, but they didn't do it totally on their own merits. they had to have some outside help.
  6. Thanks Bullet. That's exactly whay I meant, which is why I put padded in quotations. And we wouldn't have missed a field goal. We had plenty of time and momentum to drive it in and score a TD.
  7. He really should have tried to score. I thought about that during the game, but... can you IMAGINE the whinning if he had "padded" the score?
  8. Dustin Long & Kendall Briles...on the same field....awesome action for sure. Todd Dodge good too (of course I hated him at the time)
  9. Whay should we? I was referring to the PNG win that got Ned into the play-offs
  10. Indeed it is Mike. One clarification to your earlier post though, when you said "We earned it w/o help from PNG or anyone else"...Ya may want to re-think that statement, because of a few yrs back. Otherwise, it wouldn't be "Play-offs 11 consecutive yrs" (or however many yrs. it is) ;D
  11. Hmph...in that 1st pic, it looks like that big #61 is getting man-handled by Hemmings. Kinda like, "get outa my way, I gotta game to win boy"
  12. UH, since our field runs north and South...which one would the "EAST" goal line be???
  13. Yeah, it's all in good fun. I'm just glad it was a fun game to watch. Good Luck. C-Ya in the play-offs
  14. Burnette is gettting good reviews because he's winning, and he's winning, IMO, because now he's doing what so many fans have been begging for for years...mixing it up. They're starting to look more and more like the '99 team that kept you guessing on every play. Being too predictable is what has had fans, including myself, upset at the play calling, because the run, run, pass, punt plan sucked. As long as he keeps doing forward thinking things, I think his job is somewhat secure (barring too many disastrous years).
  15. I just LOVE playing Vidor in Vidor. They have such pretty fireworks!
  16. Hey Blue...I'm still waiting to hear some train you were reffering to. Is it late, or did it decide not to arrive at the station? I'm confused ??? Where's that darned train??? Oh, BTW, do you have "Cherokee" memorized yet?
  17. When I was referring to the secondary, what sticks in my mind is how well they cover the outside. Unlike the Ned game, we were never really able to get on the outside for those long option plays. Most of our longer runs came from good execution and trap-type plays, not to mention Hemmings' power (man. he's amaizing). The pass coverage does indeed become a vulnerable point for Ned's passing game, but I don't see Ned gaining too many yards running it. That should really be a great game.
  18. Having played both teams, I just really don't see Ned beating Slumberton. Sleepy-town's secondary is amaizingly fast and the Defense up front can hold their own with anyone. Plus, their passing game is dead on! We were just fortunate that we don't play 13 minute quarters, but nonetheless PNG wins and the sweetest part is that NO ONE picked them to be in the position that they're in right now. WELCOME TO THE RESERVATION!!!! ;D
  19. Texas City wins over LaMarque 27-24
