JMO - It makes sense to bring him. He's (family) part of the team. If he's suspended and not kicked off the team. You keep the kid close and you still have a chance to teach / reach him. I guess he messed up in some form or fashion. He's paying the price and learning a lesson. You leave him behind (he could feel thrown away ) you may lose him to outside factors.

I wouldn't say there's nothing to talk up, because I can hear it in the kids voices and I see it in their eyes. But like Coach Coleman said: What the kids have done; and are trying to do is not a Memorial expectation its a Port Arthur expectation. When Coleman came back and put Port Arthur instead of Memorial on the front of the new uniforms he laid down the gauntlet. The kids have a new (OLD) point of reference and the desire and pride to play for PA is back.

It is a nice article, they are great group of kids. I think Jones really solidified everything. It allows them to always have three solid ball handlers / shooters on the court no matter the rotation AND it gives them someone other than Wesley who can score effortlessly.

I don't think it was a shooting foul. The offensive player catches turns to shot, sees a defender and brings the ball down. It doesn't look like a pump fake. But in the refs defense he was deciding in real time and from a different angle.

I've seen Scarborough 3 times this year, I don't think they would beat East Chambers. They're not athletic, don't shoot the ball well and don't execute very well. Give me Silsbee by 40 only because Sig will call off the Tigers halfway through the 3rd.

You are correct in that he's the best 2A player in the area. As far as fouling out because he was helping out is incorrect. He fouled out after a cheap foul and being assessed a technical foul for not letting #22 of Evadale get away with calling him a racial slur. Until that point the score was 45-38 and Evadale looked like they had a fight on their hands. So after a 5 pt swing made it a 12pt game. Sabine Pass fell apart. Check the film.
