We would love to add a couple of varsity games. It's tough when we get as late a start as we do because everyone is in district by then and understandably so with pitch counts and all most people don't want to add a game in the middle of their disteict schedule. If anybody has a bye or want to play a saturday game we are open to it. We also had a couple unexpected kids come out and so we have enough for a JV so of anyone needs a JV game let us know. Thanks for the help.

Brookeland will play yall on Sat. April 12.

We don't start until March then we have some that run track, play tennis, play golf, do UIL, have had some thay rodeo so even when we do get going we almost always have someone missing. It's a steep hill to climb but we are committed to climbing it. We got the whole deck stacked against us but we don't worry about odds, we work our butt's off and do things the right way to get where we get. Thats exactly why our slogan is Win Anyway! It doesn't matter what the odds or the adversity is. Find a way to get it done.

We will play anybody that is willing to play. We likely will be in the state championship in basketball also and we have two players that don't play basketball. This means we likely don't have a baseball team until March. We will have a few day practice before we play our first district game. Our schedule has nothing to do with a lack of desire for hirer competition I can promise you that. Everybody is in district by the time we get started therefore nobody wants to play extra games during their district schedule with pitch counts being a factor. Nobody wants to play on Saturdays either. We played Garrison at 4:30 and Chester at 7:00 on the same night last year just to get some decent games in. We will play anybody that wants to come to our place on the night we have a district game and we will make it a double header. We will play anybody on a Saturday. People see us play and they have no clue the things we have overcome to get there. We miss more than half our season and have absolutely no pre-season year in and year out.

2024-26 Basketball Districts

Yeah but it's still better than we get it in baseball. Start late due to basketball and have a 10 team district play both 1A and 2A teams. -

Whichever side you sit on just make sure you wear some gold to separate yourself from all the blue. It will calm down pretty quick.

With new coach Brandon Shumake and returning all but one player from last year Brookeland has patiently waiting to kick off this years basketball season. Now that it's here we are very excited and ready to get after it and have a great season.

How can either of you speak on how something could or should have been handled when you admittedly don't know the ins and outs of the situation. You can speak on a subject in which you don't have all the facts. -

That's the think y'all don't understand about the guy. Jones doesn't concern himself with what looks good or what people think about him. He concerns himself with what is best for the kids and this was best for the kids. -
He was the DC at Pleasant Groves for 8 years and worked in WOS as a football coach this year. He come highly recommended from Thompson. Don't worry about the football. He is a winner period.
-
I understand that. I am just saying for the ppl that are wondering that it is a done deal. Coach Jones is the new baseball coach in West Orange.

Contact has been singed no if and or buts about it. It's a fact

Jasper and Kirbyville should both be better this year and should both be in the hunt. They both had very young teams and didn't lose much. Kirbyville lost in the regional finals game to the state champion Central Heights. Jasper was better than their record showed and were very young. They lost several close games to very good teams such as silsbee, WOS and Bridge City. With kids that are a year older Jasper will be a top competitor and could make that sate run.

Idk how that ended up in a quote box. I know he came to jasper from WOS. Where was he a head coach before?

Despite the grammar I did not know coach Westbrook was still looking for his first winning season as a head coach.
