  1. They’re college professors. Who the heck are they? “Academic Freedom”…..never heard that one before. I think they should be more concerned with high school graduates who can’t tell you what continent they’re on, number of moons earth has, number of dimes in a dollar, the country the Vietnam war was fought in…..etc….
  2. Astros with a 5 run 6 hit inning in the top of the 5th. Pitching change. Hope we can hold this lead and not blow it like last night. Rays with the best record in MLB so far.
  3. Let’s not kid ourselves…. Everything done by this administration is not due to being inept. Biden is not even in control, so these results are by design.
  4. Astros get spanked 8-3. Shows why the Rays have the best record. We’ll bounce back today.
  5. From the article: “Today, on my orders, the United States military conducted an operation to extract U.S. Government personnel from Khartoum. I am proud of the extraordinary commitment of our Embassy staff, who performed their duties with courage and professionalism and embodied America’s friendship and connection with the people of Sudan,” the U.S. president said. Joe Biden didn’t say this. He read it.
  6. Here is where we are folks…..sad
  7. Bezos’ taxes filter down through his employees, who are paying through the nose….. and I don’t even like Bezos. If not for rich people, there would be no jobs. Remember, there are only two sexes, the democrats created the rest of them.
  8. The way Julks and Duban have been playing, you almost hate to see them benched for Brantley and Altuve.
  9. On to the Rays, who have the best record in baseball @ 19-3. Let’s go road warriors.
  10. Totally awesome. Look at his RBI potential, too. Julks with an RBI single in the 9th to put my Astros ahead 3-2. Duban HBP to load them for Bregman who hit a 2 RBI single to make it 5-2. These Astros don’t give up.
  11. The reigning World Series Champs take a second game from a good Braves squad. Both Alvarez and Tucker with 2 run homers. Peña with a bunt base hit with 2 outs in the 8th, steals 2nd, and scores on a Julks single. Astros playing much better than their start, which is how they have done it several times before.
  12. I have absolutely no problem with Ferguson taking over TE duties. Drafting a TE early would be a waste. Dallas needs a pass rusher. We have a change of assistant coaches. Hopefully they can whip them into shape.
  13. Drank Michelob (brown bottle, gold label for those too young to know) back in the day. Then came Michelob Light. It was good but I stuck with Michelob. They were losing sales on those brands, then came the Michelob Ultra. The Michelob Ultra in the 16 oz. aluminum bottle on ice can’t be matched in my book. I have some in the fridge that was purchased before Bud Light decided to put Mr. Not Sure What He Is on the label, so I’m going to drink that very slowly.
  14. That’s the hard part for me. Michelob Ultra is the absolute best.
  15. Will the female dummies have penises? Buttjudge will demand it.
  16. Brown gets knocked out early giving up 4 runs in the 1st. Astros tie it in the 7th and score 2 in the 9th to take the win from a good Braves squad. Astros @ .500 now. Long season ahead.
  17. Seems I read awhile back that the shuttle rockets were most powerful because the shuttle was as big as a semi, and when it launched, it took off quickly. The Apollo missions, we were glued to the screen hollering “go-go-go”. Wrong again. Lol The Saturn V set a high bar for ambitious rocketeers, but Elon Musk's SpaceX has taken up the challenge. ... Saturn V vs SpaceX Starship: Side-By-Side Comparison. SpaceX Starship Saturn V Height 394 feet 363 feet Diameter 30 feet 33 feet Dry Weight 330 tons 207 tons Payload 110 to 165 tons 48 to 118 tons Copy/paste is working right. This is comparing the Spacex rocket to the Saturn V And it was by far the most ambitious. The Super Heavy rocket's 33 engines are capable of generating between 16 million and 17 million pounds of thrust. That's twice as powerful as the Saturn V rocketthat sent Apollo astronauts to the moon with 7.6 million pounds of thrust.
  18. I do worry about battery disposal, but that was discussed on another thread. I found it hard to believe that these rocket engines are more powerful than the shuttle rockets and boosters, but I looked it up and they are indeed.
  19. I actually like Musk. He knows fossil fuels are a need, not a luxury. I don’t have anything against electric cars other than they aren’t feasible. I have no problem with them being marketed as long as they aren’t forced with attempts to kill the oil industry. I saw this as almost a conflict of interest and thought my comment to be humorous.
  20. I think I could make the transition for him/her. lol
  21. Why doesn’t Musk invent an electric motor to launch his space vehicles? That appeared to be very polluting. Maybe because they don’t produce thrust?
