Putin wants Ukraine because of the farmland and precious rare earth metals. Trump has mentioned an interest in these metals already. These metals have military applications as well as smart phones, jet engines, catalytic converters (why they are stolen), and many other uses. Taiwan produces most of the world’s semiconductors. The U.S will defend Taiwan at all costs. An aside: The U.S has supposedly discovered rare earth metals in Wyoming to the tune of 3.6 billion metric tons which would make America the #1 producer over China. These are my opinions which I’m sure will be disagreed with.
