  1. Not surprised…… AI Overview +11 HuffPost is considered a legitimate news source, but its credibility is often debated due to its strong left-leaning bias, sensationalist headlines, and a history of blending original reporting with aggregated content and opinion blogs . Its ownership by BuzzFeed since 2020 has also been a factor in discussions about its direction. Reputation factors Claim to legitimacy Pulitzer Prize: In 2012, The Huffington Post (as it was then known) won a Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting, an achievement that solidified its standing as a serious journalistic enterprise. Journalistic standards: The company states that it is committed to accuracy, transparency, and thorough sourcing. Its policy includes issuing corrections for errors and retracting articles only after extensive review. Factors influencing credibility Political bias: Media bias watchdog AllSides rates HuffPost as "Left," noting a tendency toward sensationalism and using critical framing when covering Republicans or conservative issues. A 2023 AllSides independent review found evidence of slant, spin, emotionalism, and omission of opposing viewpoints. Fact-checking record: Media Bias Fact Check, an independent fact-checking group, has rated HuffPost as having "Mixed" factual reporting, citing some failed fact checks and promotion of pseudoscience. Aggregation and opinion: From its founding, HuffPost has mixed original reporting with syndicated content and opinion pieces from unpaid bloggers, which some argue lowers its overall journalistic quality. Critics have argued that this model contributed to the decline of professional journalism. Sensationalism: HuffPost has been frequently criticized for using clickbait headlines that over-promise or sensationalize stories to drive traffic. Reader trust According to a 2025 Pew Research Center poll, HuffPost commands low public trust. Only 8% of Americans say they trust it, while 18% say they distrust it. Among political groups, trust is heavily polarized. An August 2025 AllSides report found that only 2% of Republicans or Republican-leaning voters trust HuffPost, compared to 13% of Democrats or Democratic-leaning voters. Conclusion While HuffPost engages in professional journalism and has received a prestigious award for its reporting, its legitimacy is tempered by its clear progressive bias, documented issues with fact-checking, and the blurring of lines between journalism, aggregation, and opinion. To assess an individual HuffPost article, it is best to consider the author, read beyond the headline, and cross-reference the information with other sources.
  2. Some of us would call that mental illness. The bleeding heart libs call it “gender dysphoria” and simply misunderstood.
  3. Man, the Rangers scored 20. That’s insane.
  4. Alvarez batting in the 2 slot. What do I know? Lol
  5. Stop being a hypocrite. Need a tissue?
  6. Scrambling!!!!! Lmao
  7. Libs are grasping desperately. Lmao
  8. You quoted me and asked questions. How is that not questioning me?
  9. It’s D.C……’nuff said.
  10. I’ve always wondered why children are the targets of most mass shootings. This was another sick tranny.
  11. Why are you questioning me? I already said this makes no sense. MAGA is not falling apart. It’s simply a questionable move. Why do spies scare you when terrorist don’t? Chinese nationalists came across Biden’s open borders in droves. No concern then. You hypocrites kill me with your fake outrage.
  12. So, what if the Chinese students come here and many are found to be spies, do you agree to deport them, or do you defend them with constitutional rights like Abrego Garcia? You can’t have it both ways, but you will try. MS-13 is labeled as a terrorist organization. Terrorists =/> Spies. I say deport them all.
  13. I know they have more rare earth materials than we do, hence why it’s weird to sell us materials that we use for military purposes. It’s not difficult to see the irony.
  14. Our whole relationship with China is weird. We owe them close to $trillion and they sell us rare earth materials to build bombs to use against them. Visa students count on the census, so let’s see where they go. Probably some more gerrymandering to be done.
  15. That’s cool. I like to play Monday morning manager/QB.
  16. A clutch bat very much needed. I bat him 3rd but that’s just me.
  17. My last post on university comparisons was to really ask the question…..why doesn’t China (and other countries) educate their own? We have more Indian (not native) students than Chinese and India hasn’t been much of a friend lately. Why come here? As of late, I question the “higher learning” of our schools. I’ve posted videos of college students who can’t tell you how many moons earth has, and the higher learning schools are woke and antisemitic, so exactly what is the attraction for over half a million students? I’m a Trump supporter, but this throws up some red flags. Funny…..libs never question their leaders.
  18. Just a Google search. 600,000 students seems like a lot. Chinese universities are rapidly improving in global rankings due to massive government investment and research output, while U.S. universities remain strong but are improving at a slower pace. Key differences include the heavily standardized, high-pressure Chinese admission system versus a more holistic U.S. approach, the greater government control in China's education system compared to U.S. university autonomy, and lower tuition costs and living expenses in China. Key Differences Admissions: China: Admissions are dominated by the high-stakes, nationwide Gaokao exam, which students cram for extensively and which heavily influences their future prospects. U.S.: U.S. universities use a more holistic approach, considering grades, essays, extracurriculars, and other factors for admission. Government Influence: China: The government heavily influences higher education and research through initiatives and directives. U.S.: U.S. universities have greater autonomy, though they are overseen by government-appointed accrediting agencies and have governing boards. Cost: China: Tuition and living costs, including food and dorms, are significantly lower than in the U.S. U.S.: Public and private universities in the U.S. typically have much higher tuition and living expenses. Curriculum and Focus: China: The curriculum is often focused on deeper learning in a narrower set of subjects, with less emphasis on optional courses. U.S.: There is a greater emphasis on creativity and a broader, more flexible curriculum, often with a wide range of optional courses. Campus Environment: China: Campuses often have a more controlled environment, with gates and walls, and the academic atmosphere can be more structured. U.S.: Campuses are generally more open and diverse, and the culture emphasizes meritocracy and cultural inclusivity. Recent Trends Rising Global Reputation: Chinese universities have seen a dramatic rise in global rankings due to focused government investment in scientific research, leading to higher research productivity. Quality of Education: While U.S. universities continue to improve, they are doing so at a slower pace than many Asian universities, particularly in China. International Recognition: Chinese academic qualifications are increasingly recognized internationally, with many universities offering programs taught in English to attract international students
  19. That’s the funny part? I think it’s that the lib’s cowardice was exposed. They accomplished absolutely nothing except draw attention with the dramatics, but that’s some people’s heros. Lmao.
  20. When you can’t hang, don’t answer. Lmao.
  21. Some people are liars. It’s never been answered. All you ever got was a but but Biden. That’s how they try to cover their tails. It points out hypocrisy.
