Run support would have helped Nolan Ryan increase his win record. Not sure how many he lost 1-0....2-1...etc. Also, Ryan pitched a bunch of 1 hitters that the hit happened in the 9th inning. So very close to several more no-nos. Sorry for the Ryan comparison but he is the one by which all others are judged....plus I’m old enough to have seen him play.
