  1. I research for you and you are never satisfied. You ask questions you don’t want answered. You just like to argue.
  2. I think you meant to say envious, to which the answer is no. My post is over a month old. Illiteracy does not necessarily mean one can’t read and write. Check this out. While the term "illiterate" in this context is often used hyperbolically, studies and anecdotal evidence suggest that a significant number of college graduates struggle with literacy skills, including reading comprehension, writing, and critical thinking. This doesn't necessarily mean they are completely unable to read or write, but rather that their skills may not be at a proficient level for college-level work or real-world applications. Here's a more detailed explanation: Falling Proficiency Levels: Studies indicate that a substantial percentage of college students, even those graduating, do not meet proficient levels in literacy assessments. Basic Skills Only: Many graduates may possess only basic literacy skills, struggling with complex texts, nuanced arguments, or in-depth analysis. Consequences of Low Literacy: This lack of proficiency can affect academic performance, career prospects, and the ability to engage with complex societal issues. Factors Contributing to the Issue: A combination of factors, including inadequate high school preparation, evolving learning styles, and reliance on technology, may contribute to these challenges. Civic Literacy: Beyond basic literacy, there are concerns about civic literacy, with surveys revealing a concerning lack of knowledge about American history and government among college students. Examples: Some reports highlight students who graduated despite having significant gaps in their reading and writing abilities, even struggling with basic comprehension. Impact on Society: This situation raises concerns about the quality of higher education and the preparedness of graduates to contribute effectively to society.
  3. What else is he known for? It’s so easy to be him. Stand for nothing….anti-everything.
  4. Freeland starting for Colorado. This is what I found….. Freeland has a 5.56 ERA in the 2025 season, and Colorado has won just two of his 15 starts overall. The Astros will counter with lefty Brandon Walter, who has a 3.34 ERA in five starts with the franchise in 2025.
  5. Sonny Hostin’s husband is probably involved too. No wonder these programs are in jeopardy. [Hidden Content]
  6. I’m trying to make the point that you are always going to find someone who doesn’t agree with what is in a bill. I remember Schumer giving the fist pump to the $4 trillion infrastructure bill. Who gets that excited about infrastructure? Do people in the Rockies and Appalachia have internet? Are there charging stations on every corner? And that’s just a couple examples. The thing is, lots of people were against it, but it passed. As long as congress is passing bills, we are simply going to have to deal with it. Yours or my complaining will change nothing.
  7. Well that’s good, and I agree except for taxing the rich, but I asked if there has ever been a bill that you, or anyone, totally agreed with.
  8. Has there ever been a bill that you totally agree with, or anyone for that matter. Let’s pass it and then read it….the democrat way. Oh no, now the dems want it read to them. Hypocrites till they die.
  9. But, but, Biden
  10. I read he is going to a specialist. I would think he was already seeing a specialist. Sports figures have some of the best doctors in the world. Mystery to me. [Hidden Content]
  11. More than the money, having to change their policy is more important.
  12. …..and this is when gas prices usually go up due to summer driving demands. but, but he said he would stop the Ukraine war on day one….lol.
  13. Hard to believe the Astros are setting records with so many starters out. Astros are the epitome of “Put me in coach”
  14. Astros take a 7 game division lead with a 6-5 victory over the Rockies. Abreu striking out the side was exciting. Caratini with the grand slam early proved to be the game winner. Astros not scoring after the 3rd was a letdown, but a win is a win.
  15. Sorry to hear. 81 is a long life. I don’t foresee anyone being kicked out of nursing homes.
  16. Bregman and Tucker no longer with us, but hey, our players are getting the job done. That’s all that matters.
  17. No Astros on final All Star ballot. I’d rather have a team loaded with 2nd place players.
  18. My mother died in 2019 at the ripe old age of 95. She never saw the inside of a nursing home and could still get around with a walker. She still would try and take a switch to you if you got smart. Show me where anyone has been “kicked out”. You still didn’t answer my other question. I knew you wouldn’t.
  19. Round them up in droves. That’s the way they invaded our country. I saw no one say hang them. Only you would mention that.
  20. Isn’t this deflection? That’s another thread. ….and he is not the head.
  21. That’s why liberals fail at everything. Whatever floats their boat without any backbone or conviction. Another good one….flavor of the week.
