Just something I found. Like I said, I don’t shop WalMart so it’s a non-issue for me. While a significant portion of Walmart's merchandise comes from China, it's not entirely accurate to say they mostly sell Chinese products. Walmart also sources a large volume of goods from the US and other countries. A report indicated that about 60% of Walmart's imports came from China between January and April 2023, which is down from 80% in 2018. Walmart is also a major retailer in China, with close to 400 stores and clubs. Here's a more detailed breakdown: Focus on China: Walmart has a strong reliance on Chinese manufacturing for certain product categories, particularly those where low cost is a major factor. Shifting Sourcing: Walmart has been working to diversify its sourcing and reduce its reliance on China, including increasing imports from other countries like India. Local Sourcing: In China, Walmart has a strong focus on local sourcing, with over 95% of their merchandise coming from local sources. US Focus: Walmart also emphasizes sourcing from the US, with two-thirds of their total product spend in the US being for items made, grown, or assembled in the United States. Global Supply Chain: Walmart's supply chain is global, with suppliers in the UK, Canada, Mexico, and other countries, in addition to China. Food and Groceries: A significant portion of Walmart's sales are in groceries, which are largely sourced from the US.

Winning the close ones is what counts.

Astros complete the sweep of the Twins and are 8-2 in their last 10 games.

Thanks. Same to you.

Me. What’s your source for saying he is stupid? Is that all you gleaned from my post?

Cam Smith with a walkoff single……first one in his life. Astros win 3-2. Brown with 12 Ks

Need to take out Khamenei. He can run, but he can’t hide.

Only Musk would know that. Trump’s approval rating is blasting off. They even had a Trump rally in San Francisco, the bastion of liberal elites. Huge money that keeps pos Pelosi in power. Musk had a bad day and the libs tried to capitalize on it….to no avail. Lmao
-
Uh oh. Libs don’t like Musk again.
-
Yes, that’s about as far as you read into your own posts.

He sucks the wind right out of the dem’s sails.

Well, I had a wonderful time. Astros explode early and pitch well enough to win. Peña is unbelievable. If Paredes had been in there, I know he would have smacked one. Great win. Keep it going. I even applauded Correa because I liked him when he was an Astro. Lots of people booed him. I can’t be that way.

Sorry for the nostalgia. Sad incident for sure. The phrase lengthy record seems to appear quite a bit.

I used to live on Monroe years ago and was born and raised in the North end. That’s the presidential streets….Fillmore, Wilson, Taylor, Tyler, Monroe. Next street is Lucas.

Newsom and Bass had every excuse in the book for the burning of all the multi-million dollar homes that were lost in the wildfires. What’s a few police vehicles? The cops were probably ordered to stand down.

More about Padilla…..

Like I said…..

These attacks have been discussed on national tv for weeks. Sure am glad they weren’t discussed on Signal. That would have been a national security problem. Sure am glad it was a peaceful attack. The libs should be proud at how peaceful it was.

Everyone can’t be an American…. The concept of being "able-bodied" was a significant factor in the immigration process at Ellis Island . Here's why and how: 1. Medical Inspections: Immigrants were subjected to medical exams to identify and prevent the entry of contagious diseases that could endanger public health. Doctors looked for conditions like trachoma (a serious eye infection), tuberculosis, and others, that could limit an immigrant's ability to work or contribute to society. Those with serious illnesses were sent to the Ellis Island Hospital, with the hope that most would recover and be allowed entry. However, if a condition was deemed incurable or posed a public health risk, it could lead to deportation. 2. Public Charge Considerations: Beyond medical issues, immigrants also had to demonstrate that they were "unlikely to become a public charge," meaning they wouldn't require government assistance. This assessment included considering an immigrant's physical condition and whether it would hinder their ability to work and support themselves. 3. The "Six-Second Exam": Doctors developed quick, observational methods to assess immigrants as they passed through the processing areas. They looked for signs of physical weakness, limitations in movement, or any other indicator of a health issue that might make an immigrant undesirable. 4. Focus on Work Capacity: The system was designed, in part, to select immigrants who could contribute to the nation's industrial needs. Conditions that might limit a person's capacity to perform unskilled labor, such as varicose veins, hernias, or deformities, were among those considered for exclusion. In summary: While Ellis Island is often remembered as a symbol of welcoming immigrants, it also served as a filter, and being able-bodied was an important factor in the inspection and selection process.
