1. I'm also betting that the sun doesn't rise in the west. I like living on the edge. Betting on a team not to win it all is too easy. They don't even cover bets like that in Vegas.
 2. Yep, and you can play one team and beat them, turn right around and play same team and lose. Every game is different, but I really don't have to tell you that. Both teams are doing great.

I'm surprised they only hung around for a half hour. They should have stamped paw prints on the floor.  :D
WOW , can't do that!! Remember a few years back in Football when PNG beat the Puppydogs in Nerdeland and the PNG crowd was on the field. The puppydogs yelped like whinning puppies for weeks after that.
Yeah, I'd have to go way back.  ;D but no, I don't remember. Paw prints were left care of the scoreboard. Let the kids have fun.

 5. Didn't read all post. Some coaches have a military approach to their coaching. If you don't want your kid cursed, don't let him go to basic training. They don't kiss you on the cheek to wake you up. As with any other circumstance, there are certain lines that should not be crossed and most coaches know where that line is. If a coach called my son the "P" word, I'd just have to say man up....show him you're not. I think some kids receive a certain discipline from coaching that they don't get at home. If a few curse words are tossed around, so what? I don't think any reference to the kids parents is appropriate though.
 6.
I believe Able did what was best for that group of kids in that particular situation. I have a son who has played on PNG's varsity team for three years and I have seen every game in that time frame. We never have nor will we ever be the most athletic team on the court. We win through pace of play and solid defense. We can score when we have to in most situations however our strong suit is half court defense. Able's strategy last night worked. There was a wrench thrown in when nobody blocked out Kelvin. Had we made it to OT who knows what would've happened. I do know this though. All the PNG haters on this board (soulja, aaw, joey, lazeek and others) are going to puke all over themselves at the end of this basketball season when the Tribe takes a playoff spot!
Wow, those guys are all mods. I don't hate PNG. I simply feel that there are always other factors that could have happened to keep the game from coming down to that last play. I am a firm believer in the fact that basketball games (of course not all) are won at the FT line.
 7. I've read so many posts about how PNG could have won this game in the final minute or so and I prefer to discuss other ways PNG could have won this game.......play better defense the whole game, hit those FTs when you had the chance, get that offensive rebound and go back up for two, hit that 3. In other words, you had your opponent down the whole game and they came back to win on the road. Plenty of opportunities missed to harp on THE LAST PLAY. Just the way I see it. Great come from behind road win Dogs! You made the plays when it counted and that's what produces wins! Keep it going!
 8. Wow, naysayers betting that Nederland won't win state. Don't go out on a limb there guys.
 9. Like admin said, these two could play tiddly-winks, no matter their record, and it would be a game. Good road win Dogs!

"I'll get my brother to beat you up!" If you don't believe you can win it all, then you won't.
PA Memorial would beg to differ...  ;D ;D
See how you had to go out of district (get your big brother  ;D) and to a 5A team? If we are going to try and win state, I don't think any 5a teams will be in the way. It's funny that Nederland has hardly ever been included in playoff basketball talks, but when we are doing very well and could possibly make a big push towards state (who knows how far we will go) we have threads predicting which game will be our demise instead of having anything encouraging said.

I doubt 01, they really got off to a lousy start, so not sure if they cracked the rankings during the 10 week regular season??? Don't matter when you're in the state semi-finals though.
The '99 team with Sullivan was 9-0 and ranked 9th when they came to the Reservation. PNG was 8-1 (lost a nail bitter to WOS). The Dogs left unranked and 9-1 after a 31-8 beatin'!
Wasn't that the year you met Stephenville and Superman? Ned then proceeded to reel off three straight....35-10 ring a bell? I remember Ned being ranked as high as #8 in the early going. The only ranking that matters is when the season is over.  ::)
 13. Right back at you Grad. I'm at work. ::)

Kid's got an arm. Congrats. Just curious, who does videos like that....placing the red arrow above his head and all? Very clear video.
The video was done by me...I've been practicing since Jr' was a freshman...I have all sorts of football videos on youtube.
I tinker with photography a little. Nice job.
 15. Thanks^^ Scooter, did I win anything like maybe dinner for my wife and me at Texas Roadhouse?  ;D If so, I'm gonna brush up on my sarcasm and give her another go.  ;D
 16. Thanks. I'm very humbled by this award. It must have been my Tom Brady post. I have to admit that it was a gem. I was having a good night and things were just easy to say. Thanks again Scooter. Is that acceptance speech long enough?

 18. Sounds great. May we both, I mean our wives, have a Merry Christmas.  ;D
 19. I got the Sony MHS TS20 Bloggie 8GB memory, full 1080P video, and 12.8 megapixel still shot. Don't think I can e-mail directly from the camera, but I can upload to my pc and do it from there. 7/8 " thick.....$139....Amazon.com. Nice camera you got there. You, I mean your wife going to have lots of fun with it.  ;D
 20. I like Yao and think he is great. I also think the center position can be handled by a non-scorer who can set picks....a.la. Mark Eaton. If he can score then that is just icing on the cake. Getting a block or two and playing some defense is also nice, but most of all, he needs to be a rebound specialist....a.la. Dennis Rodman. People hated that guy, but dude could flat out rebound. Teams were successful with him, and because of him. I know he was a forward, but still, teams need those rebounds. Just my opinion.
WITH EVERY BODY PRETTY MUCH MAKING THE PLAYOFFS IT IS NOT VERY HARD.... WELL 4 OUT OF THE 7 TEAMS GOING...HOW ABOUT A DISTRICT TITLE IN 20 YEARS ;)
Everyone wants a state title. How many area 4A teams have won a state title in the last 20 years?
Nederland needs a [glow=red,2,300]DISTRICT TITLE [/glow] in the last 18 years not a state title
Isn't it true that Nederland would be the 20-4A district champions this year, if they had stopped Central from scoring in the final minutes??
False..They'd be Co-District Champs with PNG and Central, but could claim DC because of wins over both teams. PNG ran a spread offense the past two years without a Cam Newton type at QB. Ran it very, very well to be exact. You need a Cam Newton Tpe to run the Spread Option! Besides Nederland had the closest thing to a Cam Newton Type this year. 6'5" 245 lb QB. Just couldn't run.  ;D
He ran just good enough, don't you think? OK nit-picker, don't you think PNG would have maybe even won state with a Cam Newton type QB.....just a thought. That's being very successful.
