1. I've been on the TEXAS bandwagon for 50 years. Kinda hard to break tradition.  ::) Horndawg, since I attended no large universities, I am doomed to only being a fan of Lamar? Since I dropped out of Lamar due to finances, do I have to revert to just pulling for my old high school, junior high, or elementary school, which none of them exist anymore? Where does it end?
2. The announcers made me sick. They already have him in the HOF. The HR was more like a defensive swing that happened to catch it just right. He went down and got a good pitch. Nothing can be done about stuff like that. 14 Ks is very impressive. He's also got a great catcher in Pudge.
3. Hey, that's baseball. He's still doing good.
4. Thanks, it's on and he is mowing them down.
5. New pitchers always seem to give teams fits because no one has seen them. Look what Buckholtz did early on. Where can I view this game?

This is no cakewalk for any team, but Texas has the pitching and hitting to get the job done. You can gloat over your victory last year. It was a dandy. Just remember you were one out from losing it too. That's what makes baseball the game it is to me. Every pitch, every out counts huge.
7.

Yep, the reigning national champs didn't make Super Regionals. You have to keep rolling those SEC teams around in every sport to end up playing Texas. I rest my case.  ;D
This wasnt the same exact LSU team from last season they did lose some players from the National Championship year. Plus a number of freshman played this season as well with some other youngsters.
Yep, teams lose players every year. It's called reloading. What else can I say?
8. Bring 'em on. I don't know how many teams you need to beat Texas, but I can see how many you are having to use. SEC vs. TEXAS....again, I rest my case. I love it.  ;D
9. Texas could have fallen off the face of the earth and still been a #1 seed. That tournament play is to let some team have a final chance at getting in. The season wins more than covered Texas. I don't hate any school. I just mess with people.  ;D

11. I love how it's the SEC vs. TEXAS. I believe that says it all, doesn't it?  ;D Hook 'Em
;D
13. I work with a good man from Evadale. He should be going nuts about now. That would be a short trip for him.  ;D Way to go Rebels!!!
14. Now they are referring to this as the worst call of all time. It was a bad call and it was pretty obvious, but no way this is the worst. i already said which one I think is the worst. KD, did you play baseball as a kid? I believe this is what makes me appreciate the game so much. I know what it takes to make all the throws and catches and try to hit a fastball or curve. I love Minute Maid Park. It's one of the finest in the country. I take my family maybe 2-3 times a year and stay at the Magnolia Hotel just down the street. They will drop you at the game. You have to walk back (about 8 blocks). We don't care if we win or lose (better if we win of course), we still had a good time just going to the game and relaxing as a family. Give it another try.
15. That was a bad call alright, but it's not the worst I have seen. I'd say Jack Clark's HR in the Dome was the worst. It had to have been 25 feet foul. I think the perfect game beaing ruined is why all the hoopla. Had this been just a game ending play, any other night it wouldn't have even made the highlights.
16. The regretting afterward should not be rewarded. Heck, they all reget getting caught. The thought process beforehand is what keeps things like this from happening. He should have walked away no matter what she did.
17. The way PNG played all season, and especially in the playoffs, I thought the possibility to be real anyway.
18. Here is what I found. I'm guessing this is what was called..... During an intentional walk, the catcher must be completely within the catcher's box until the pitch is released; otherwise it is a balk. 4.03a "(a) The catcher shall station himself directly back of the plate. He may leave his position at any time to catch a pitch or make a play except that when the batter is being given an intentional base on balls, the catcher must stand with both feet within the lines of the catcher’s box until the ball leaves the pitcher’s hand." PENALTY: Balk EDIT It is also a balk if the catcher steps on or in front of home without the ball, or touches the batter or his bat, when a runner is trying to score on a squeeze play or steal of home. 7.07 Source(s): "The Rules of Professional Baseball: A comprehensive Reorganization and Interpretation", by Jaksa and Roder and rule 4 [Hidden Content] rule 7 [Hidden Content] 2 years ago
Got to have the umps to play the game but it is an extreme shame when they get in the way of the game. Let the players decide the game, not your STUPID JUDGEMENT CALL!!!!!!!
I didn't make the call. Someone asked for an update and I gave him one....so did three other people....hence my post.
Sorry..Iwas venting. I removed your quote from my statement.
I understand the venting. I just don't want any misunderstandings. I don't recall any baseball games ending on a balk. I'm sure some have, but I haven't seen it 'till now.

21. I think we covered that update pretty well.
22.
Update?
Friendswood wins on a balk.....9-8
23. Must be having some trouble with the broadcast. All it does is buffer.
24. 2001....Nederland vs. Bay City in the playoffs.....Nederland whipped them in every category except the scoreboard. Lost 7-0. I would dearly love some stats from that game.
