  1. I think LSU will have problems with Virginia. The one that worries me for Texas is UNC. The University. ;D
  2. Here's what governs who wins and loses....sad but true! Article Former NBA ref Donaghy attacked in Fla. prison Published - Jun 11 2009 05:44PM CDT PrintAAASingle Page ViewA spokesman for former NBA referee Tim Donaghy says he was attacked in prison by a fellow inmate who claimed he had ties to the New York mob. Pat Zaranek, a spokesman for Donaghy, said Thursday that the former referee, serving a 15-month sentence in a gambling scandal, was struck in the right knee with a stick or other hard object in November. Zaranek, of Executive Prison Consultants, says Donaghy expects to be transferred from the camp in Pensacola to a halfway house in Tampa next week. Zaranek says Donaghy's knee still gives him trouble and that he will need surgery. A Federal Bureau of Prisons spokeswoman declined comment.
  3. Dude, I figured that's what you were getting at. My shoulda, woulda, coulda remark was simply to rubutt the fact that someone said the Magic ''HAD TO"" shoot 64% just to stay close. Game two, they didn't shoot 64% and should have won on the goal tend. Read more closely please.
  4. Just a joke, but Kobe is a crybaby. You don't think the Lakers would sweep these guys if they could? Magic didn't shoot that high of a % in game two and should have won that one.
  5. Yeah, he's even worse than Tim Duncan. Kobe had to leave the floor so no one could see him crying.. :'(
  6. I would expect the same from any fan. Great first post.
  7. You can surely judge your talent coming up the pipe, but to me, varsity is a whole 'nother animal.
  8. Orlavski hit the canvas face first. He is so lucky that the follow-up left missed. Fedor reminds me of boxer Alexis Arguello (The Mechanic). Fedor studies his opponent, looks for his opening, and attacks. I've seen him completely picked up in the air and slammed almost on his neck/head. Thirty seconds later, he had his opponent in an arm bar. Fedor can beat you any way you can think of. He can knock you out with either hand or submit you with never ending punches and moves. This is what kills me about the fight sport. There's always the ones who say 'Well, he hasn't fought him yet"...BS, Fedor already has.
  9. Wow, this isn't easy for me but here goes. Aggies Are We, I think I owe you an apology for saying your Nederland/Brenham broadcast was slanted towards Brenham. I'm not used to your manner and may have heard things the wrong way. Even if I did have a problem with it, I should have just PM'd you instead of posting it on the board. I do want to say that I never questioned your dedication to the local kids. I simply misunderstood your excitement for both teams. Hopefully all is forgiven.
  10. Oops, you're right. I was thinking of the tackle on Howard driving to the basket and they called it out on Howard's leg. I guess we could go through the whole game and pull up plays like this from both sides. I just hate it that the object of the game is not to foul, and that just doesn't hold true anymore. It's ''how many fouls do I have to give?" :
  11. True, but this was a game winner....still a judgement call I guess. Please tell me how Odom can tip a rebound back out, sees his team is not going to get the rebound, and tackles two Magic players and there is no foul? I guess the object of the game (try not to foul) has gone.
  12. Here's a cool bracket... [Hidden Content] Hook 'Em!!
  13. I detest people who cry in their beer. ;D Shouldn't that have been a goal tend on the last second layup that was missed, that sent it to overtime? Gasol's hand was inside the net and grabbing the rim. That's a goal tend in my book. Some home cooking you think?
  14. He doesn't have to ''claim'' to be a role model to become one. All he needs is Superstar status. They don't ''want to go to jail like him''. They overlook the fact that he is a criminal....and I ain't dumb dovesoap. Ooops! Sorry about that. I was referring to joebdun who mentioned role models. Criminal? I hope you don't eat beef, because you're considered a criminal for killing and eating beef. + Off topic here........how so doveman, and in whose eyes?
  15. He doesn't have to ''claim'' to be a role model to become one. All he needs is Superstar status. They don't ''want to go to jail like him''. They overlook the fact that he is a criminal....and I ain't dumb dovesoap.
  16. And whats wrong with Mike Vick? Nothing, if you like ex-cons as role models.
  17. A new stadium is on the way. Take Hwy 124 south to High Island, turn left on Hwy 87...they'll love you down there.
  18. I have cable tv. Is there a channel where I can watch my Longhorns besides ESPNU?
  19. What is Crackerland Cavs and Crack City? Never heard that before.
  20. Well, I can see that my opinion has stirred the pot. I guess I owe AAW an apology, but since it was simply a case of constructive criticism, I see nothing wrong. When someone is going to put it out there, they are going to have to handle some feedback, which is not always congratulatory. I hope no one holds this against me as it is just an opinion.
  21. Wow, $232 million down to $88 million...who is the real winner? OK, after I leave the hospital, I know I would have to move away, so I would buy some serious acreage with a private pond in the Rockies and live a peaceful existance. I'd have my own video and sound room for movies and listening to music. I'd also love a nice pool table and bar. Like bear, I would also try to collect a few classic cars. I know I wouldn't gamble it away because I have already hit the big one. I'd also donate $1 million to some place like Hughen school in PA. Put the remainder in a credit union and live off the interest. I'm a simple kind of guy.
  22. I would have loved to go to the game, but my work schedule prevents this. Let's see, enjoy some baseball or keep my job.....hmmmm! So don't be telling people what they should do if you don't know their circumstances. AAW, I thought you did an alright job, you just got a bit too excited for Brenham when they threw a strike or hit the ball. I know you are trying to make it interesting, but it just seemed slanted. Then you come back and post about how Brenham's cupboard is not bare. I wouldn't post anything about how good Brenham is going to be next year. According to most sports people in the know, Nederland wasn't even supposed to be on the same field as Friendswood or Brenham, but we showed them a ''what for''. That, to me, is what's exciting and what makes baseball what it is. Sorry, I must go to work now....
  23. Maybe the announcer next year will be a little more biased for Nederland. Great season Dogs. You showed the ''Almighty Brenham'' that you weren't just going to roll over after losing the frist one. Believe me, they wouldn't want another series with you. Keep your heads held high.
