LCM used to have an ace pitcher by the name of Beau Hale. LCM would try and convince their next opponent to play one game series. LCM would pitch Hale because he was that good. I don't know how much rest he got, but it couldn't have been much. I really don't know, to be honest.

I guess this angle is always used by the team that just lost, but sometimes, especially when you have a big winning streak going, and with a 3 game series, it's ok to drop one. I know you want to win them all, but sometimes dropping one brings you down to earth and makes a team collect themselves and play two great games back-to-back. Hopefully this is the case for my Dogs. The Astros were questioned as to why they didn't have any hispanic players. Houston has a large hispanic population and these players put rears in the seats. I'd keep Berkman too. He has a history of slow starts. Just my two cents.
