You can't allow logic to enter the equation. You gotta believe. I-F....Yao had been healthy and the format was 2-3-2, after stealing one of the first two in LA would have been interesting. It turned out to be interesting anyway. I became a Rockets fan when Olajuwon and Sampson came aboard. I used to love the Celtics when Bird was there, so I guess that's where my anti-Lakers comes from. I look for the Rockets to deal 'always hurt' McGrady. I look forward to adding another player like Von Wafer, or even another Battier. He played Kobe about as good as anyone. -
It was all a conspiracy!!! Everything that goes wrong in my life is someone else's fault. Oh woe is me. Does anyone know what PCP is? Check this out..... PCP (phencyclidine) is classified as a hallucinogen and has many of the same effects as LSD, but can be much more dangerous. In the 1950's, PCP was investigated as an anesthetic, but due to its severe side effects, its development for human use was discontinued. PCP is known for inducing violent behavior and for inducing negative physical reactions such as seizures, coma, death. There is no way to predict who will have a bad reaction to the drug. Maybe this is because PCP has so many faces--it acts as a hallucinogen, stimulant, depressant, and anesthetic---all at the same time. In its original state, PCP is a white crystalline powder. PCP is available in tablet, liquid, and powder forms and is either ingested orally or smoked by applying the liquid form to tobacco or marijuana cigarettes or by lacing these and other cigarettes, sometimes containing herbs such as mint or parsley, with PCP powder. STREET TERMS: include Wet, Illy, Angel Dust, Supergrass, Killer Weed, Embalming Fluid, Rocket Fuel, Hog, Wack, Squeeze, Water, Dust, Oxone, Zoot, Peace Pill, and Elephant tranquilizer. Killer Joints, and Crystal Supergrass are names for the combination of marijuana laced with PCP. "Smoking wet" and "wetting it up" are two terms for smoking cigarettes or joints dipped in PCP. PCP is known as Space Base when mixed with Crack. EFFECTS OF USE: A moderate amount of PCP often causes the user to feel detached, distant and estranged from his surroundings. Numbness, slurred speech and loss of coordination may be accompanied by a sense of strength and invulnerability. A blank stare, rapid and involuntary eye movements, and an exaggerated gait are among the more observable effects. Auditory hallucinations, image distortion, severe mood disorders, and amnesia may also occur. In some users, PCP may cause acute anxiety and a feeling of impending doom, in others paranoia and violent hostility, and in some it may produce a psychoses indistinguishable from schizophrenia. PCP use is associated with a number of risks and many believe it to be one of the most dangerous drugs of abuse.

Back on topic. The best thing Bush did was eliminate the enslavement of the Iraqi people by Sodom Insane (spelled incorrectly intentionally). -

Pretty simple dove. Sodom had WMDs, Sodom hates the Jews, the Jews are our allies which makes Sodom our enemy also. Had he hit the Jedws with a WMD, you have WWIII, and I don't think you can comprehend what that entails. what seems to be the part you don't get? You need to look up what it takes to be a true ally and not a pansy. -

Ok, you said there were no white slaves, there were........now you bring up you dont need a history lesson. PNGkid is throwing facts as I do to support my statements. The history is history, it cannot be changed, BUT we can learn from it. In order to learn from it, you have to know it and understand it! About 40 messages ago I gave my spill on the things I thought Bush did well. I have to agree, Homeland security is one of the best things he's done. Although I did pose the question about if white people had been slaves...earlier than that, I posted that there were white people that were indentured. I believe there is a slight difference in the two. My eternal thanks to you and kid for "learning" me about slavery with all of your facts. Sadly, many facts have never been published in books, but as long as America was able to prosper and the select few were able to become profiteers at the expense and maltreatment/murder of others...hey, it's all good. I don't know what his legacy will be. Maybe that he rid the world of hussein, but at what expense? 9/11 was a test that no one could have truly been ready for. I think that we had no other choice than to go after binladen and it was the right thing to do, but I think that invading Iraq was not. I mean, in the history books, what will be said about why we invaded Iraq besides that hussein was responsible for some horrific atrocities. I just wish that he would have had the ability to either realize that he made a mistake (and not just with Iraq) and apologize for that particular decision. How about we knew he had WMDs, he had UN resolutions to answer to, he had to let our weapons inspectors see if he was indeed hiding anything (we know he was, what do you think he did, kissed those 250,000 Kurds to death?). Our inspectors were getting close and he ordered them at gun point to leave, which they did. Do you think he got rid of those weapons during that time? Hmmmmm. Sadaam Insane had scud (dud) missiles to deliver his explosives. I, to this day, don't know how we kept the Jews from all out attacking him. We kept them at bay by protecting them with our patriot anti-missile defense system. Some scuds still got through and did some damage and killed some people. Do you realize the magnitude of the situation, had he been able to hit the Jews with a WMD?????? Anyone here that doesn't think Sadaam Insane had WMDs is a fool. BTW, where were you when all of this was taking place....under a rock? One more thing. Americans did not execute Sadaam Insane. We turned him over to the Iraqis and they let him drop. I still love what the soldiers said to Insane when they found him....''Greeting from President Bush!" -

Gabe, good luck to your Lakers. I think they will have to step it up a notch for Denver. As far as I know, Denver is healthy and rested. -
Copy/paste works fine for me.

I had a litle extra money this week. I sent some to LA trying to buy the Rockets a bucket, but to no avail. > I think the Lakers played a very average game (Gasol had a good one though). My Rockets couldn't hit a bull in the arse with a bass fiddle. They also made some of the stupidest passes I have ever seen. I'd pull Artest and insert Wafer. Battier couldn't hit a three. Scola couldn't hit and probably should have fouled out. Still love my Rockets, but they should have played much better than they did. They should have gotten beat by 40 again. That's why I say the Lakers played average. I'll give the Lakers credit for holding off a scrappy Rockets squad and winning in seven games. Hey, the Astros beat Chicago today!!! -

What has he ''fixed''? Who do you think elected him president, the black vote? Dream on dude. He is my president, and as my president, I expect him to be truthful to me. From day one he has denounced Bush's policies and blamed him for the economic downturn, plus attempting to have him criminally charged for Gitmo. When someone acts as if they truly believe in one thing, then do an about-face, I question the integrity of the individual. Throwing trillions of dollars at the automakers and Wells Fargo hasn't helped. Where is that money now? Did it just disappear? That money did belong to you and me once. You are the racist. You can't discuss anything about Obama without bringing up his race. Let him stand on his own as a man....I am. -
I've got an old Beatles album that sounds better than smitty. Coop, do your stuff. What a waste of bandwidth.

Quit agreeing with me, that is scary :D My bad. I'll be more careful. After Kobe and Gasol, the one player that scares me is Farmar. If the Lakers are down and he is in there, he can flat out hit those 3s and erase a deficit real quick, especially if the Lakers get a stop. I'd take him on my team anyday. My Rockets are doing something not many other teams could do without their stars, and that's win against arguably the best team in the west. Let the Lakers lose Kobe, Denver lose Carmelo, Cleveland lose LeBron, Miami lose Wade.....I don't think these teams could win without them. -

Sorry guys. It seems we can't talk current affairs or 'recent' history without going back hundreds of years to serve other's agendas. I just decided to go back thousands. tvc, hippy, and bandkid (is he just a kid?) make excellent points and are well rounded in their knowledge. I struggle at times with memory loss. I'll just jump in there when I see fit. -

tvc's, bandkid's, and hippy's posts covered most of this. I am only interested in if you are inferring that Cleopatra was black. If so, I wonder if they were slave owners? Took a long time and lots of people to build all those pyramids. -
Anyway, she's about as truthful as Cheney...... Well then that makes it ok, huh? When does one stand on one's own two feet and stop pointing fingers? She has gotten herself into the same place as Obama....between a rock and a hard place. Bush's poilicies are looking better all the time. Maybe now, the ''fickle finger of fate'' will be pointed in the right direction.

Amazing, so many people wrote the Rockets off. Even predicting sweeps from several people. Then Yao went down and it looked like lights out, but I knew how well these guys can play. Let's see how well they do in LA this time knowing that ''this is it''....there is no coming back to Houston. I will actually get to watch this one. Win or lose, I will be on here talking my Rockets up. This should be the top story in sports right now..... how well the Rockets are playing the Lakers without their stars. What say ye, old great sports writers? ;D -

Unbelievable! But as I think about the history of this country, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised of this type of callous attitude towards human beings. Especially since they had nothing to do with the attacks in NY. You need prayer; and real bad. Human beings?? I pray everyday that the world be rid of scum like this. I rejoice in their removal. It is what has to be done and a softy can't get the job done. I pray for you that their evil deeds never strike you or your loved ones. Are the Kurds human beings? How about Afghan women? How about Daniel Pearl, Nick Berg, Paul Johnson, and that Korean guy??
