Now we are talking. I posted earlier that LC beat LM, but it was Houston Lamar (5A) who beat LM, correct? My bad. The way we played last game with such intensity, we have a chance to win against anyone.

Not really. So GP wouldn't make the playoffs in any other district? Simply amazing. How can anybody possibly know that? This is the playoffs. Whoever lines up across from us, deserves to be there and we should try our best to take it to them. I refuse to lessen the validity of our wins by belittling the opponent. If for some reason, the opponent is outmatched, then the score should reflect that fact....voila....48-7. It does not, however, indicate that every team in our district could duplicate that effort.

Dravanti Johnson....Nederland. Don't have any stats on him but I know he was in GP's backfield all night.

I'll attend the Nederland game without a doubt. Stallworth is a nice stadium and not that far to drive. Anything beats having to go into Houston. I also like the 6:00 p.m. start. I was home by 9:45.

Just curious Zone, how do you know who can beat who, and how did anyone K-N-O-W that Nederland would win? GP was a run team and we snuffed it out....which begs to ask, just how many teams are not running teams? You can probably name a few, but not any we have played, so what's the point? I like being the underdog. It takes a lot of pressure off.

Central needs to invision like the "Waterboy". Think of La Marque as being the Bulldogs. If you play like that, you can beat them. That's some high quality H2O.

I'm going to savor this victory a little longer. Then I will give LC some thought. These kids deserve to celebrate because they just played one heckuva game. Total domination.

Couldn't agree more. That was the most complete game I have seen in a while. Talk about total domination. Our kids needed a win like that in a bad way. Everyone had a good game. Let's keep it up. Especially on defense. It was nice to see our defense in their backfield all night. Hats off to that Grogan kid. He's going to be a good one...already is.

If you are going to win the state title, you are going to have to play some good teams along the way. At least we have the opportunity to see what we can do against them. Anything can happen in football. Let's beat GP first.
