b7770756 must have watched a different game than i did.  Refs made several questionable calls against kv.  BUt of course, if my team had lost I am sure I would have felt the same way.  KV seemed to want it more in the 2nd half.  Newtons passing game seemed to be throw it up and see who can catch it.  Fortunately for KV, we caught the right ones!!  KV Wildcats, District Champs 2 years in a row!!

I feel K will win this one in a hard fought contest.  Penalties and turnovers could very well decided the outcome.  If KV plays mistake free for the most part, I feel they will win.  But this is high school football, and you really just never know for sure.

Old Wildcat is right on. The Cats lack the intensity of last year. The defense has to learn to put teams away, and the turnovers have to stop. The Cats should have learned that lesson vs Muleshoe last year. Down by 1, forces a punt, fumble - Muleshoe put us away.

A couple of losses for this team may be just what they needed. I don't think Newton is a shoe-in for the district title. Kirbyville went toe to toe with WOS and lost to a much improved Jasper team after committing 6 or so turnovers. If Kville keeps improving each week, the No. 6 game should be a great one, and I predict the Cats will win. (Unless they give N several gifts on the night)

I was out of town all weekend, left the game in 4th quarter to drive 7 hours. Does any one know why Ford didn't hardly touch the ball Fri. nite? That being said, you can't beat a good team with 6 turnovers. Cats should learn from this, obviously the Dawgs learned from last week.

KV beat BH 2 years in a row in the playoffs (3A). Best game by far was Drew Hazlewoods last second field goal to give KV the lead. Had to be a very tough loss for BH.

I think Newton and Dangerfield would be a great game. I think it was only a 3 point game last year, missed exta points. Should be a great rematch if both teams can get there. I also think Kirbyvilles season depends on how quick they can settle on a qb. I know they have a couple of pretty good looking kids at qb

......I dont think kirbyville has any help (the coaches dont help getting to the next level except in football and favorites..) getting to the next level...
