  1. After researching K-ville's playoff road, it could possibly look like this (of course they still must win each game): ROUND ONE: Corrigan-Camden: definite (Trinity is the biggest school but will not be in playoffs) ROUND TWO: Anahuac (Possibly Kountze or Buna if Anahuac fails to make playoffs) ROUND THREE: Arp, White Oak, Jefferson, or Daingerfield SEMI-FINALS: Altair Rice (projected) FINALS: Clyde (projected) These are all projections except for Corrigan-Camden (that will happen). And again, nothing is FREE, Kirbyville still has to win each game against some tough opponents. But it's fun to speculate as a fan.
  2. Go Sharks and go Coach Thib!
  3. Depends on your philosophy and mentality. Rain games are perfect for teams that can throw and for teams who aren't scared about throwing in the conditions. I've seen some of the best passing results in rain/mud games. Some though, think you have to run it ALL the time. I believe otherwise.
  4. I was quoting from the diceman's post. That's all, "main." Just tryin ta git low wit all my peoples, like u, main!
  5. Uh, yes. Kirbyville is better than Silsbee.
  6. Nederland and PNG? The same teams that got SMOKED by Jasper in scrimmages? Diboll who has already been beaten by 2A K-Ville... the same Diboll team that beat Newton? WOS, the same team that struggled to beat a Silsbee team who also got beat by Diboll? Waco Le Vega the team that struggled to put 26 points on the board against Crockett who K-ville hung 49 on? Just wondering if we're talking the same teams?
  7. okay... just curious... I don't know anything about PA Memorial except I remember all the TALK about how dominate they were going to be with all those "af-letes, main!" Just wonderin' why they're not.
  8. K-ville loves to throw in the rain and mud! Weather will not affect the running or passing game of the Cats!
  9. So you are implying Memorial needs coaches?
  10. Nice rebuttle. You're mad, so Dice's comments must be true. You seem like a Memorial athletic supporter.
  11. Don't follow PAMemorial football but I love Dice! Whoaaaaaa! Jack and Jill went up the hill both with a buck and a quarter. Jill came down with two fifty! Whoaaaa!
  12. That's awesome! Football is a great, yet simple, game. One team runs an offensive play while the other team tries to stop it. Sometimes one team's offense wins big (13 TDs) and sometimes the other team's defense wins big by posting a shutout and maybe even limiting the offense to negative yards rushing. In this case, it just happened to happen on the same squad. What a great story to tell your grandkids someday in either case.
  13. For someone to say they were never impressed by Big Brown is to say chocolate syrup isn't good over vanilla ice cream. From the 20 hole in the Derby to the amazing burst in the Preakness were BOTH very impressive. You are right with a couple of points though - Curlin, is a true champ and he would have beaten Big Brown. But BB did give everyone (except one person, I guess) a lot of excitement this racing season!
  14. :'( Disappointing BB gave America a thrill for two races! Thanks big fella'! Enjoy your Studding!
  15. oh, okay Who will be the big school rep from 23-2A Buna or Anahuac? Buna should win district. Who will finish 2nd and third? It looks like Corrigan-Camden vs. Kirbyville for the first round. The winner plays either Buna or Anahuac. Is this correct? It looks like whoever wins the second round game will play Arp in the third round.
  16. Starters usually get to play for three quarters. They earned it.
  17. Nobody ran up the score. It's a football game. You try to score while the other team tries to stop you and vica versa. It's a game. It was comical that Shelbyville went to the 50 and stomped on the Wildcat head and taunting the Wildcats who were alread on the sideline getting ready for the national anthem! It's all harmless. I think it just adds to the run and excitement of the game. There was a reverse in the 3rd quarter from the Wing position which is all part of the Wing-T offense. Again, it's a game. If you can't stop the other team it's going to be a long night. And if you can't even stop the second team in the fourth quarter it's going to be a really really long night. Kirbyville couldn't help scoring. Anyway, best of luck to Shelbyville the rest of the year. They still have a shot for that third spot.
  18. In the Large School (D1) playoffs there will be a bye. District 24 does not play football. That's why there will be a first round bye. Don't know D2's format.
  19. Who has the largest school? Anahuac?
  20. Anahuac is almost a lock to advance to the second round of the playoffs! ;D
  21. Interesting perspective. If it was my kid and the pricipal told him to put his shirt on, and he didn't, he wouldn't have to worry about the school consequences. Congratulations! You will be named "Parent of the Year!"
  22. 50 something to 14 something Huh?? ??? Did St. Augustine score 14.3 points or something like that? ;D Yes, that was pretty silly of me. Oh well! "It's my birthday! Yeaaaaaaaaaa!" (Crank Yankers Pic on Left)
  23. ARP IS 4-0... They moved from #6 after Zero Week to currently #2 in 2A. Here are their results: 6. Arp (1-0) def. Omaha Paul Pewitt (0-1), 34-19 4. Arp (2-0) beat St. Augustine, 56-13. 4. (3-0) Arp won 34-14 over Palestine Westwood (1-3). 2. (4-0) Arp 17-7 Tatum 2-3.
  24. I applaud the kids! They were standing on principle. Fight for what you believe in. The past games this season, last season, and all previous seasons dictated that what they were doing was not wrong! It is a totally subjective call by a power-hungry administrator. She probably belongs back in the junior high setting and definitely not a high school.
