  1. Man y'all need to stop with all of this foolishness, it was all good a year ago! I watched #4 in the first series on defense bumping into two SOC kids after the play making his presence known ( i get it nothing wrong with that). I saw PNG OL doing extra activity after plays. When PNG OL make pancake blocks, they lay on the kids as well and talk noise ( i get it nothing wrong with that). Thats what come to those kinds of games. "It gets chippy" as the announcers would say. Stop belittling SOC kids and coaches. Its always an excuse, like the SOC head coach said. What's your new excuse? Gloves? open enrollment? etc.? y'all are some sore losers on every level all the way down to flag football in y'all youth organizations. The post i've seen from PNG supporters is ridiculous and sad.
  2. especially down two tds.. you have a baby vince young who can run a lil.. use him more.. however he has to work on his accuracy... once he gets that.. he will be a major problem!
  3. man this is hard to watch on both sides.. wb should be up with the stops they've made but then Silsbee should be blowing them out with the stops they've made lol
  4. 4:25 down 2 tds and youre running the ball
  5. Yes.. PNG/PA as well.. because they are 5A.. dont think because they won state they can can go up in a division and win state or make a deep run.. 6A is truly different when it comes to playoffs..
  6. Silsbee isnt making it to state like that. Every school in the golden triangle is a lateral move compared to the greater Houston schools.
  7. thats very true! HAHAHA
  8. Its no debate, you spoke like knew why he left so i asked legit questions.. If you have talent why not go to a state worthy school that make it to state? I could see him going to Atascocita, North Shore, King, or any other power house but Silsbee? Thats a lateral move.
  9. Man thats weak! If they had all that talent that the guy was talking about.. they wouldnt have lost the way they did.. that 6A scary i get it.. alot of people are scared of that type of schedule..
  10. my Point exactly.. you leave one school because you didnt win the job which was open to win or based off your freshman play the coaches didnt see you being ready for that 6A schedule they had...then you go to another school (easier schedule) to sit out and then this year play wr? you couldve stayed at wb for all of that..
  11. He played qb? And the reason he left was to play QB? so why not stay and play wr? And why isnt he playing qb? and against that fresh secondary he will have over 300 if they keep throwing to him..
  12. What talent left west brook and went other places? I only know 1 kid.. that was Jackson that went to Kelly? In which if he wouldve stayed he wouldve been good at rb.. and he started his sophmore year at DB.. soooo who is the other talent?
  13. No talent the few years? Maybe the 23 class but 24 class been successful since freshman. so how do you lose when you get on varsity playing the same kids minus the transfers? They had talent no coaches IMO. I dont know what talent they have now but theyve received the blessing of changing 6A to 5A.. peeople dont really understand how tough their district was. While im watching this game.. the qb will be ok once he learns the game.. Id put juju#3 at rb with denly#6. JuJu shouldve played rb last year when denly went put. And replace jenkins with the youngster. But wb still running the same plays and very predictable.
  14. Shouldn't have left west brook in the first place. To me they ran from competition..
  15. west brook schedule is sooooooooooooooo much easier this year than last year! west brook SHOULD smash silsbee. wins bring confidence.. and west brook is winning. Not because of the athletes (west brook has always had athletes) but because they have a schedule that's in their favor to win and help them win the district games they need to win. Coaching will play apart in this as well. and from what ive witnessed the last 3 three years in close tough games, coaching goes blank! so hopefully these bruins get an early jump on silsbee to build their confidence but if not silsbee should win the game.
  16. Im just wondering when has the city or culture ever been great to where people wanted to stay in beaumont. And lets be real, it not like people are moving their kids to better cities and cultures. We are talking about sports here. People are literally making lateral moves for the sake of making the playoffs not state championships. and i would like to know what kids are moving that made an impact in BISD? Looking the kids that transferred out of bisd only 4 had varsity experience and they all came from wb. who then went off to silsbee, ce king, converse judson and kelly. everyone else played freshman and jv. If you cant dominate freshman and jv, what make you think youre going to come up in this district and dominate in your position? and Id like to know how many of yall actually watch WB and BU play to make comments about there programs? Because reading these comments, either yall dont watch these teams play or yall dont know football.
  17. Add Michael Feacher to that freshman list. He made his varsity debut against NS in 2020. Also played in the playoffs with that 2020 team. Been on varsity every since. Bryce Anderson started that wave. Very well deserving of it as well. This qb is talented. Ive seen his games and the kid has a bright future.
  18. The kid can play. WB doesnt have any other qb on the roster that can come in and back him up whether its a sophomore or jr. Roy has played the whole season because he didnt have a qb to back him up. Roy shouldve been benched when he wasnt producing at qb. Wb has a good qb coming up in this kid.
  19. Let's be real about this. Back in those days i've never seen or heard of all this recruiting that goes on in high school football. Some of these parents act like they are getting paid millions to move their kids to the other side of setx to play football. Beaumont has lot a lot of kids due to angry parents moving because of playing time on varsity when they couldnt dominate freshman nor JV. Its not about the facilities and weight rooms. Its all about playing time for RIGHT NOW. If beaumont kept there kids where they belong you would see different levels of competition. Do you see kids transferring out of the city to go play basketball like you see for football? Whether its Silsbee, port arthur, kelly, or houston schools. No its only football. These parents really dont understand the process of getting their child recruited. Its the camps that they need to attend and do good on the film that they do create. Every player on elite HS teams doesnt get offers to college. So why do these parents do all this moving around when you dont have to? But then want to blame the HS coach for you taking your athlete to another school and get mad when your child have to sit out. Be smart with your kid.
  20. Whether its a basketball, tennis ping pong, or whatever sport city it is, it still takes a lot of commitment from families to help train the kids to their craft. I dont know about yall but i go to the games and look at the games from a coaching aspect and player aspect. You say there isnt talent when there is. These same kids can go to 5A, 4A, 3A, TAPPS and win games. They have colleges looking at a few kids off that team so i cant say there isnt talent. Especially when you have district leading players returning or "highly recruited" players on the team or that was removed from the team. You can only ask your defense for so much... I saw something on facebook where the conversation was asked who could west brook beat in the area.. And i think every team in the area. Then the statements were made that silsbee, pa, wos, png could compete in 21-6A. MAN PLEASE! MASSACRES every friday night. 21-6A along with 6A in general is bigger and faster more depth than SE TX. You give any team WB schedule and they'll be 0-3 right now as well.
  21. who all was he trying to bring in? a whole new staff? i think its the money that is the problem of how much they are paying.
  22. wb isnt bad athletically. they can compete. they are struggling with off the field issues. The coaches from what ive seen in the last 5 years have been able to bring who they want to bring in. that hasnt been a problem. idk where that is coming from.
  23. brook by 3
  24. They have talent its just the lack of support for the athletes off the field. The scores doesnt tell the whole story of the games if you know what i mean,
  25. This was funny to read.. i understand what Izzy is saying about the scheduling and resources in BISD. To me, if you want to get better your non district should be scheduled with some stiff competition that is going to prepare you for your district. West Brook Non district schedule is pretty decent with lamar, manvel and deer park. BU schedule against those teams idk. Watching WB games and film tells me that they can make the playoffs in that 4th spot and that they need to be in 5A due to the size of their roster. But the schools in setx doesnt have the tools and facilities like the schools in houston and the greater houston area. We truly are behind in that category. They are doing the best they can with what they have. I think one school is truly needed for BMT if they want to compete in 6A. I think West brook if they were 5A would beat PA (in a super close one) and PNG. Now BU i dont know because i havent watched film on them.
