I have some video of Kountze's freshman kicker and I am trying to figure out how to down load to my computer and then here. His average off the tee is between 40-50 yards. The video I have shows a kickoff that is cought on about the 10 or 11 yard line. I will see what I can do to let everyone see this.

I was at this game and wathced every play and every second. I must say a few things that are on my mind. 1- Congratulations to the Oiler football team. They came out from the start wanting the win and played with determination and intensity. You deserve this and from a Lion fan I say to you "that is the way football is played and you boys need to keep it up" 2-Why did Kountze never throw the ball? The oilers played most of the game with 9 in the box. 3-Batman was off and I believe Domingo has the better arm(where was he) 4-The refs??? Enough said 5-Where was Kountze's kicking game? I was told by some JV players that Kountze has a freshman who can nail the ball. If anyone knows if this is true please let me know. 6-The oilers went full speed every play. 7-Kounzte looked very slow last night. Again, these are just my observations and not ment to offend anyone. Kountze needs to go full speed. They played hard, but it was not enough last night. With four fumbles and two interceptions and two missed field goals can you guess what the outcome is going to be. Let us regroup and get ready for next week. The Lions need to put this behind them.

I will be at the Kountze game tonight. If things go right they might just end tonight with a 4-0 start to the season. When was the last time they did that?

I strongly believe the parents should be involved to a point. If my son makes it I will not take the praise, if he fails I will not take the blame. I have told him. I will give him nothing. He will earn anything and everything he wants. On his own. I am only an advisor now.

I coached my son until he finished the seventh grade. After that I walked away and told him exactly this. "I have taken you as far as I can. The rest is up to you. If you want your dreams of playing for A&M to come true you will have to earn it. Parents are ok to have at practice, but leave the coaching to the coaches and your program will be better off.

Excellent program there and they are the team to beat this year in AA.

I agree. The next three games for Kountze are West Hardin Warren Anahuac Kountze should be 6 - 0 by then. After that the hard games are coming Buna Hardin EC Deweyville. But like everyone knows this is High School football and anything can happen.

Kountze did give up two fumbles inside the five yard line that should have been touchdowns, but that is football. The score that Evadale got was a pass for a touchdown and the JV kids were not covering the receiver. I think if some schools want to take Kountze lightly then let them. They will come to play under prepared and get beat. Yes, Kountze is now 3-0 let them enjoy it. They have plenty of football left to play and all the kids are ready.

Donnie Corona. You should have seen him at the LSU kicking camp this summer. he is truly a great kicker and also sports a 4.0 GPA.

kountze dodged a bullet, but the team showed a lot of character by not quitting and winning in overtime. They came out of this game healthy. I look forward to this weeks game.
