Vidor stats vs. PNG: Goals: Jeremy Wollam, Payton Smith Assists: Matt Little, Reid Biffle. Amazing game by Vidor and all the seniors tonight. Good season boys.
-
Oh I didn't think about it bein just district..... that means Miller doesn't have 11 eh? May not even be the leading scorer.....but maybe so......I dunno too many stats to keep up with...bob saget
-
After that game, don't you have 10 goals? The stats say 7....?
-
I know for a fact Greenway has 14 assists. Only one of his goals was non-district. I don't know where you get your info from but I happen to know exactly how many goals and assists he has. 14 and 4. Also, Vidor's leading scorer was left off. Justin Miller now has 11 goals and about 3 assists.
-
Vidor: Justin Miller -1 goal Justin Whitewood -1 goal Austin Greenway - 2 assists

Zachary, your brother can take you so I would do well to listen to him. lol...kidding.....but really.....Ian, man keep up the good work and good job on the streak. Keep it alive. You and Matt are class acts and drive Slisbee soccer. Without you two all would be lost in Tiger Town. Good luck Tuesday, keep it clean and fun.

WHO ARE THE PLAYERS TO WATCH FROM EACH TEAM ???
Netstalker replied to Fernando9's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Or a bit of all three? lol... Seriously though I just see alot of soccer and when you have leaders step up on a team and see how the other kids react to them and respect them, you know they have proven themselves worthy of their leadership role. For the most part, the players who take on the leadership role are the ones who have a little more experience and take the game more seriously. I left out a couple players from Nederland, and I would like to apologize and add them now. #15-(forward)- extremely skilled and fast. makes runs and sizes up the oncoming defense in a matter of seconds. developing into one of the more dominant forwards in the area. FRESHMAN!!!!! I can't wait to see this young man play in the next few years. Nederland has a real talent here. Also, their sweeper is a brick wall. Vidor had trouble getting past him all night, and he stopped any runs or chances they had. Nederland is once again on the rise, and with this young team will no doubt be back to their top spot ways in no time. Good luck to these young men and the Ned program as a whole. -
Nederland is a very young team, but has great leadership on the field and one of the best coaches around. They are a great team with alot to learn, but I think they are facing a bitter team on a mission. Vidor will have all starters on the field and is a team who has really come together in the past couple of weeks. It will be a great matchup, and definately a game to come see, but Vidor will probably pull this one out. 3-1 Vidor.

WHO ARE THE PLAYERS TO WATCH FROM EACH TEAM ???

Vidor. The team you saw Tuesday is not the real Vidor team. When all the starters actually start, it is a whole different team, as you saw in the second half. Between Vidor and Lumberton, it is still up in the air. Vidor had two questionable calls take away two goals that on film were clearly not offsides. One of Lumbertons goals was about 4 yards offsides when the break away began. As far as posession, Vidor has more players with ball control, and the defense limited Waldrup to 0 goals. It's hard to say right now, but the re-match will determine who is truly better. I am hearing Lumberton had 3 starters miss the game against Vidor, and if this is the case it looks like Lumberton would be the favorite in a re-match, but Vidor has really come together since the first game and is looking to take the title. -

Don't look past them to Lumberton or they will nick your perfect record. PN-G has one of the best coaches around. He knows what he is doing and will make adjustments to fit yall's style of play. Keep it clean, PN-G is a classy team. -

WHO ARE THE PLAYERS TO WATCH FROM EACH TEAM ???
Netstalker replied to Fernando9's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Thanks. I do what I can lol.....I don't know how PN-G will fare without their #1 player and team leader, but the guy was a class act and kept the team together. Tough loss for them...If you guys can keep the ball away from the midfield and make nice crosses you will beat them. Simple as that. They have a good midfield and middle defense, but the outside is rubbish. Don't try and outrun them, cause a few of them are quick. They are an athletic team, but if you control the tempo of the game and play with alot of passes to the inside on the run, you have a pretty good chance at beating them. -

1.VIDOR:#15 Reid Biffle-(center-mid) great foot skills, one of the fastest in district. Nice control and field awareness. Leads team in assists. Second in goals. #14 Payton Smith-(sweeper) also great foot skills. Amazing defense, can take complete control and dribble through entire teams to the front for a goal or assist. Best kept secret in Vidor. #2 Justin Miller (forward) Very fast. Outruns everyone but tends to either be offsides alot or gets called for it after outrunning the defense.. Makes very nice plays and has alot of headers on goal. Leads Vidor in scoring and plays with alot of heart. 2.LUMBERTON:#9 Brent Waltrip-(forward) very fast, great shot and finishes well, great footwork and without a doubt all district. Lumbertons best player. #8 Scott Poole-(forward/mid) just a freshman but is already developing into an offensive threat with speed and finish. 3.NEDERLAND:Ryan Clark-(center-mid) team leader, quick and fundamental, sets up his team for the finish and has a great ability to anticipate the next play. 4.LC-M:Ethan McKay-(keeper) out with broken collar bone. Very athletic and makes amazing saves. Leger- (forward) very quick and tends to be the go-to man, so naturally has the most finishes. Class act, great attitude. Recent play is questionable. 5.PN-G:Bryce Tallent-(mid)- team leader, great footwork and intelligent play. Out with broken foot. 6.OZEN:#17 is probably the best player. Nice leg. 7.WO-S:.....a standout has yet to be seen.... 8.CENTRAL:#9 Fernando Uribe(mid)- decent feet and a GREAT shot. Needs help in the middle, and will complimented by the returning mid fielder who was out injured. 9.HJ:Unsure of the name, but #3 has a pretty good knowledge of the game. Doesn't have much help and has to carry the team, but is pretty decent. 10.SILSBEE: Huge Keeper, great vertical. They have one forward who is a threat with his speed and dribbling skill. Unsure of name or #. Others will stand out as the play progresses, but so far these are the players who have made the most impact in the games played so far. -

They started their season before 20-AAAA did. -
Well we had some dicipline problems, so our coach sat several starters, which out the rest of the starters out of position to make up for the slack. Our sweeper, arguably the best in the district, was sat the entire first half, and our right back was sat as well. The backup sweeper was puking with some type of flu he has come down with, so he had to sit also. When we finally got our team back as a whole in the second half, we dominated and made alot more runs and scored. We will start all starters next game and you will have a very tough time beating us.
-
OWNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys have a pretty good team, but you let the anger get the best of you and make a few dirty plays. Just try and keep it as clean as possible and there would be alot more respect. Then you wouldn't have to taunt or do anything like that at all. There is a mutual respect between us and LC-M, and after the games there is never anything but good game. If you guys go into Lumberton game with a big head and thinking you own the district, you will get flat out burned. Listen to your coach and play soccer, not hackball. He will make adjustments and give you the best shot to take down a very good and fast Lumberton team. Good luck with the game, but I must say, Vidor will start the defender who shut yall's second half down against us in our next meeting, and you will not find it so easy to win that one. Good luck with the season but try to keep it humble and clean.

That is because in the sport of soccer there is a little something called offsides. That is the only way you even got a "break-away." #22 was way, way offsides and when the ref blew the whistle he tried to argue. How could he not understand? Has he ever even played soccer?
-
What are either of you talking about? Never in Central's wildest dreams would they beat a team like LC-M 9-1. And Brent Waltrip, also known as Yeah Yeah, plays for Lumberton, not LC-M. Central has not even played Lumberton yet. 9-1 would be a better score in that game, but Lumberton would be on top. Besides, this whole thread was created to determine the score of the Central vs. WO-S game.
-
They "played" LC-M.....but they ended the season for two goalies before they could beat them. The first string goalie they had was amazing and I am very sorry to see him get put out of district play.
-
I haven't posted on this site in quite a while, and I'm more of a basketball guy, but thats out of line. You come on here claiming Vidor has talked all the trash on Central and that they will get their due come tomorrow, when everone on this site knows Vidor backs up what they say. There have been a few non-players getting a little wild, but ask anyone on this site, the Vidor players themselves are very respectable individuals and play with heart. You are the one talking trash, and the way I see it you have no way to back it up. Your team is undefeated. So what? Who have you played other than LC-M, who you had to murder their goalies, by the way, to even beat? Whitewood had a sensible post about how you and your team possibly ended the career of a very fine goalie, and the only thing you do is tell him to shut up? Man you must really want to lose tomorrow night. Vidor plays very good ball untill you piss them off. Then they put this Whitewood kid in. So he has your number. You wont talk so much trash with a broken jaw.

Yes even the fans got into some shoving and in the face screaming. It was almost to the point where nothing could stop it and someone would have really gotten hurt.
