This is going to be a great game. If Kountze wants the victory they are going to have to show up in the secondary. And I mean really show up. Kountze will have two weeks to prepare for the air attack from Hardin. Also, there is a play off spot out there. I'm going with Kountze. And as far as the Kountze - Buna game I was there. And that was a great game. However, for those comments about Buna having their worst game, when another team shows up to play like Kountze did it will make an offense look like they having their worst game. (Especially when they have been as dominating as Buna). And if I'm not mistaken it was a fumble with apprx. 3minutes left on the clock that gave Buna the ball, and with 52 seconds left in the game a touchdown. Both teams had turnovers.

I agree with 1111. This country has become too politically correct. I was riding in to work last Friday listening to Big D and Bubba. And there was a prayer sent out from that station to all the football players in our area. I think that is very honorable.

This one should be a good game. I'm going with Warren 21-17.

I'm going with Lumberton. However, to say that they are going to blow out PNG or Nederland is crazy. Lumberton still has to take one game at a time, and the game this week will be a dogfight. Also, I hope that the players will take a more humble approach unlike Maverick24. Lumberton needs to win and play with class.

Shouldn't Kountze be looking at Hardin first? Don't get over confident with the way Kountze played Buna.

I wouldn't go as far as state(but anything can happen). But I have seen Kountze play and they should battle for the district title next year in football. As a matter of fact Kountze looks to be pretty solid in football, basketball and baseball for the next few years.

First play from the line of scrimmage, I'm going for the gusto! Fake the dive, hit my receiver on the flag route. And if that doesn't work I'm going to pound up the middle, mixing it up with some slant passes.

Anthony Smith would be one of them, but he also has one of the best o lines in there district.

The Silsbee offense needs to awake out of there slumber. Silsbee 42 - Orangfield 14.

I'm going with Hardin more of a balance at offense. Scouting report-- Deweyville's db's and lb's better be ready to play.

I'm from Lumberton but do not live there anymore, and unless this Hussey kid has changed a whole lot, there is more to the story than him attacking another player. This is a kid that doesn't go around looking for trouble. He just wants to play ball.

Buna in this one. They are strong and are playing together as a team, not as individuals. And it shows. The game to watch this year in 2a will be Buna and East Chambers. East Chambers looks to have the edge, but you never can tell because motivation can crush the edge.

I've read your posts about Lumberton and lot of them are ridiculous. Lumberton has had alot of good athletes, but has not had a great history of football. However, the facts are that Lumberton will compete this year in district. They might not make the playoffs, but will compete. And nobody will use Lumberton as a door mat. I beleive that the teams in there district are going to have alot more respect for Lumberton after they play them.

Kountze will take this one. On defense Kountze has probably the best safety in the area in Wolcott, and pretty solid up the middle. However, they are week at the corners. The corners can hit, but their pass defense is week. On offense, they an awesome fullback. Kountze seems indecisive at the quaterback position. However the game that I saw showed the taller out of the two (I believe #7) to be the better of the two. The other, I guess is a running quaterback, however did not make much of a difference on the run. If Kountze works on these positions they should be a team to deal with.

Haynes is an offensive mastermind. I don't know what Hardin will do this year in district. But what I do know is that the defensive back coaches better have their kids ready.
