1. Wow if only stats won games! We would have this one in the bag. Since they don't I guess the boys better show up to play and earn it the old fashioned way! Pirates don't let someone elses win or loss make a difference. Win and you are IN!!!!!!!!!!!
 2.
Stats mean nothing in mud bowls. least amount of turnovers usually wins.
I agree, last week 0 turnovers for the Pirates! How many did Nederland have? ALso we have done very well in the mud this year!
 3.
I believe they are talking about being the 2nd best def in district based on POINT ALLOWED.  Not about total yardage, where Nederland would probably be towards the bottom.  However, I would rather give up more yards than points any day. Why take out the Central game?
No reason really, I just wanted to see how close it would have been without it. We allowed 57 in that game but scored 56. I figured it was an anomaly. Again no reason just interesting to me.
 4. OK here are the real stats. Defense                                          Offense Nederland allowed 102                        Nederland scored 92 Vidor allowed 125 (dif -23)                  Vidor scored 153    (Dif is +61 Point advantage) Removing the Central game (not sure what this means, but threw it in) Ned allowed 67 Vidor allowed 68 Seems to be close on Defense but lopsided on offense. Note: Vidor has not played Livingston and Nederland has not played Lumberton

There is a 6' 5" 225 lb reason we are not the same team and if you think he doesn't make a difference maybe you should ask Ryan Brady! I am prediction rain Friday Night, footballs that is, and Vidor better be able to run, not on offense, but defense! There is a new QB in town and he can chunk the rock!
OK I have not seen him play and can't comment, but my question is if he is so good, why was he the 5th QB to be tried. I am sure he has played alot of football. Why is he just now the QB?
He was actually the 3rd QB, but when the other two went down he was also injured. He started the season as a WR, TE, and DE. He's a junior, great athlete, best basketball player in the school. Played QB in middle school. At this point, with all the adversity that Ned has been thru he is a great leader and gives the Dogs the best chance to win. In a perfect world, he would not have to play QB, but he is doing a GREAT job!
Thanks guys for the information.

There are still other ways they could be out.

District 19-4A is still a wash as of right now. I think Crosby is the only team that has been guaranteed a playoff spot so far. Dayton will be in, but the last 2 slots are still open apparently. Hard to say who we would play, but I don't see us playing Dayton if they go as the #1 seed in D2.
Well looks like you guys and Central are in. Congrats! No we need to seal the deal Friday night!!!!! ;D
PFL,  are you telling us that you want the Indians to take a dive????????????????????????
No my post should have said "now we need to seal the deal Friday night" meaning we need to get the win and get our spot solidified. I want the Pirates to get it without any help!  ;D

Nederland wins either way, I just see if being a high score for Nederland.
Just curious, who have you picked to beat Nederland this year so far?
 11.
This should be a pretty good game. I expect the bears to win by 7 points or more, but Lumberton will give them a fight for it.
I think that would be the best for us, but I just don't see it happening! ;D

 13.
I've seen both, and I've gotta go with LCM.  Not by a whole lot, but around 10-13
I know you are compairing LCM to when you guys played them. But I believe PNG was still finding themselves as a team a that time. Look at the outcome of the Vidor LCM game. It was not even a contest. I am interested in what happened at Livingston, but whatever it was they did not have it against us. I also know Lumberton is frustrated but still a talented team. I believe their defense will slow LCM enough and LCM will not be able to stop them from scoring. Even in the Livingston game they allowed over 40 points. JMO

 17.
both nederland and vidor have problems holding on to the ball and if  this occurs friday could be anybody game
We have had a few fumbles, but last week against LCM we had 0 turnovers. We just need to continue that. A wet field will not help the situation!
 18. I think the Raiders take this one. LCM has no Defense as far as I can tell! They have a really good QB and a good Offense, but if Lumberton can move the ball and keep the turnover ratio down they should win.
 19. I think we seal the deal on this one! Go Pirates! ;D
 20.
Jags will stay focused.  They lost their focus will the big soul bowl festivities and with all of beaumont there, but regained it in the second half against Ozen.  Players realize that they have a chance to win district and will not be denied.  Livingston is in trouble.  They will catch a very hungry team.  Central by 21+.
I think you guys will take this one also, but I am not sure it will be by 21. I will say Central by 14.  ;D

 25.
I don't know what to say.  Vidor went through this stretch where there were not playing Pirate ball, but seem to be back to their old self in beating LC-M.  You have Nederland who is riddle with injury and have Mr. Forney who appears to be the man they need at QB.  They have lost to the likes of Ozen, but seem to be turning the corner.  Both teams are turning it on at the right time.  I really don't know.  I've been rolling with Vidor all year, but they have came up short a few times.  Heck, I have to go against them this time (sorry, Rustedcutlas).  Nederland 28-27.
Came up short a few times? We lost to a very good PNG and to Central by 1. Sorry Soul Man but I am afraid you will have the same experience when you play PNG! VIDOR by at least 2 TDs. :o
