1.
GoDogs27....this is a direct quote from YOU in the thread leading up to the game: "Whoever said WOS sucks and always has should just delete their profile and move on to something else. All that does is flaunt ignorance. If Nederland only puts up 14 against BH then I will move on to something else. NO WAY BH has the caliber of defense as WOS.. Again I say.. 38 points"" In regards to the late hit by #32.  I saw the play live, saw the replay, saw it on film and then read YALL'S local newspaper article on the game.  Ned's QB was ONE STEP out of bounds (even says it in the paper)...#32 was coming full speed.  It was a late hit, it was a personal foul and it cost us 15 yards and a starting safety.  Not only that but it helped lead to yall's only TD drive.  I am in NO WAY trying to take anything away from Nederland's players or coaches.  They played their hearts out and kept trading hits in the mouth all night. But you have to get off of this as being a "classless" or "intentional" cheap shot to take out a QB. It's absolutely ridiculous.  Please take your own advice and move on to something else.  The Dog's defense stuffed us pretty much all night and held us to only 2 TDs.  The Eagle's returned the favor and held the Dog's below your "38" AND "14" predicted points output. So move on to something else and yall go handle business with Vidor next week. I wouldn't have even responded to this if you would've said "Yall should've won" or "It was terrible officiating" but you are attacking the character of a quality young man that doesn't deserve it.  He's a "yes sir, no sir" type of kid and you are flat wrong.  Good luck with Vidor next week...yall should come out on top.  I'm done with this topic and you should be too.
Mr. Blitz if you believe everything you read in the paper then you will lead a rough life. I have been to that stadium since the '60s and there is no way that bench is anywhere close to a foot out of bounds! Unless you were sitting on the Nederland side then it would have been real tough for you to see the play because there were to many players in the way. As far as the video goes they don't tell all the facts because they are never at the right angle! Last but not least, how would you feel if it were your QB? I am sure you guys would be throwing a party for the opposing team right! And you are correct in one thing, it's over and you can't go back and change anything, if the officiating is bad don't use that group again and move on!
2. It was a hit out of bounds at the bench, if the player didn't know he was out of bounds he shouldn't play the game.
3. We could always break out the old MCM tee shirt with a little modification to the feather color it could work, Eagle? What Eagle?
4. 12 hours till kick off is anyone going to be there? This thread is kind of dead you know.
5. Don't they play the non varsity games at the opposite stadium than the varsity?
6.
You can always count on getting hosed by the officials when you go to the Golden Triangle. It's just a  fact.
This is funny, when we go across the Trinity everyone over here talks about the officiating over there. I guess it would be safe to say that if most of the calls don't go the way you want them most football fans think the officials are against them. By the way many games that Nederland plays are not officiated by the Golden Triangle Chapter.
7. It's a shame that Pryor can't make it, I was looking forward to seeing him in the BH QB's face most of the night!

BH is a very good football team, but i think we beat the bricks off 'em. Defense will bring the wood and our running game will shine (200+ yards rushing.) 35-14 Dogs, making us 3-0.
so let see  ;) you have gained 239 yards in two games and now your going to almost gain that in 1 game against the best rushing D that you have played all year???? We know WOS is fast, but I they have given up 52 point is two games!!! Well going in to district 2-1 won't be too bad either ;D 8)
Well it can happen, Micah Mosley went toe to toe with Mr. Johnson at Waller several years ago and when the dust settled there was around 900 total yards of offense!
9. not a word!

After taking everything into account, the Dogs win this one big, by 20 or more. First home game of the season, the house will be rockin. The running game for Nederland is good, not great, but if BH has a slow defense, watch out. I use the term slow loosely, after WO-S who is lightening fast and GCM who has some speed, I think Nederland will be able to attack at line of scrimmage much better. As for the passing game, Raines through the air to Shaw all night. Biggest weakness is kickoff coverage, if we've improved that this week, its going to be a loooooong night for BH. Score: Nederland-38 BH-10o Shaw all night. Biggest weakness is kickoff coverage, if we've improved that this week, its going to be a loooooong night for BH. Score: Nederland-38 BH-10
If BH doesnt turn the ball over its gonna be hard to put up 38 with the ball control O that BH runs  ;)IMO
The Dogs have a ball control defense, if you think you will drive the field all night on them you better get a new game plan, they don't give up many long drives they have given up a few long runs but not long drives.
"Ball control defense" is definitely a new term to me, heard of it on offense but not on D.  Let me start this by saying, I LOVE being the underdog.  Now let me continue this by saying, I don't think we're the underdog in this one.  Nederland is definitely a solid playoff caliber team but I think many folks are overcompensating for the two teams that BH has started the season with.  Santa Fe was awful and the score reflected it.  Lumberton was a solid team that will finish over .500. If Nederland thinks they are going to be scoring a bunch of points (38...really?) or controlling the clock....they will be in for a rude awakening.  BH had some break downs in the secondary last week against a sub-par passing game but I can assure that there will be plenty of attention paid to those mistakes in the coming week of practice.  BH hasn't faced much speed thus far nor have they faced anyone that can air it out.  I look forward to seeing exactly how they handle both this week with Nederland.  It should be a good ole fashioned slugfest.  My prediction is: Barbers Hill 24 Nederland  14 ...and the Eagle D scores a TD this week.
Just a little poke at the previous post, what most folks don't understand is one of our best defensive linemen has not even stepped foot on the field this year. When he does you will know it because he is very disruptive and is a pocket destroyer, can your QB pass accurately on the run? I don't know if he will be back this week or not, but if he does the game changes!

12. Don't hang your hat on the stats of Dogs running game, most of our line is young but they are pretty big, when they get this run blocking down you better watch out. They are getting better each week so I wouldn't bet the house on our lack of running game. As far as speed goes, I don't see BH anywhere close to WOS and we managed to pull that one out. I see this one being close most of the game but the Dogs win in the 4th.
13. I thought that we were extremely young last year, then I look over the team this year and I think the same thing. So far they are looking real good, keep them healthy and there's nothing but good things to come.
14. Until the forth quarter it was about normal, with the game on the line Carson showed he has that extra stuff you look for in a qb. We will be better through the air than last year.
15. If size makes a difference then this is by far the biggest team that we have had, but talent wise that is to be seen. Neumann has been able to get a lot from his players over the years so we really will not know till the end of the season after all he has had a team that went 9 and 1 and one that played in the semi-finals.
16. No way Goose Creek has the speed of WOS, we should be able to move the ball better and control the game. I haven't heard about injuries from the last game but without any major ones, Dogs win.
17. I have some PNG buddies that wish Neumann would hold him out till after MCM to make sure he was really healed ;D
18. Your right, most of them are not going by any time schedule, it gets started when they get ready.

I hope not at 1:00 on Friday >:(
Dayton scrimmage is next Thursday and I think a 7pm start time.
Thanks, I would like to go see this one, and its a lot cooler at 7:00
20. Anybody have a clue when the Dayton scrimmage will be? I hope not at 1:00 on Friday >:(
21. The guy can move the ball, with a offense that runs the ball more his goal should certainly be within reach. And I for one would really enjoy watching him do it!
22. 56 more days till MCM!
23. Bandkid admit it, under Burnett the only thing you ever saw was run left, right, and up the middle. Welcome to the new and exciting world of football where teams actually have more than three plays in the book ;D The Dogs have played other teams that have used more plays than three. So I'm guessing from your post that the Indians have reinstalled the old send the WR to the sidelines and act like he's talking to the coach play, I can't wait for that one ;)
24. You can expect some different looks on offense and defense this year, it should be a good year if we can keep the injury bug out of the locker room!
25. Don't call the athletic department till tomorrow, they will not be off vacation till then.
