I am sure Coach T. will have the Mustangs ready to pressure their QB, however, he is known to run. I am assuming if this team has some bigs’ up front they will find out fast that the Mustangs will cover their position (PYP). JMO I believe that our secondary will cover their routes, and they (Robinson Rockets) can forget about the running game. The game may be tight for a couple of quarters or maybe not at all. Fan participation is a must though from the start of the game to the end. Our team must feel our presence early and often.

Yeah 76 their QB has some athletic ability. I suppose our Stangs will introduce "Hello How you Doing" kind of defense that wins championships come Friday night.
-
I agree, I'm wondering if holding occurs while that QB is in the pocket throwing his passes, just a thought. I have total confidence in our team on both sides of the field. The playoffs are exciting.

Yes TB I'm making plans to go to this game to see the Mustangs for the first time this year. I listened to the game last night between Robinson and Cladwell, and what I heard was Robinson's QB throwing at will. I'm wondering if KJDad will give us some insight about Robinson's OL.

Congrats to the Mustangs for a very nice win. To this poster thanks for sharing your thoughts about your team, good luck to y'all in the future. -
Come on Silsbee do the dang thing. Let Tyler eat! I feel good about y'all winning this.

Dallas is a very smart young man he is always thinking on his feet.
-
Wow bad luck. Have these two teams played before in the past? This will be a short week with little time to heal bad injuries.
-
I thought we were playing the Longhorns. I also believe the correct word is (roll) not role. I'm just saying.

The playoffs are here! A Thursday night game is a bad night for me to attend the game. I will be cheering on the Mustangs' from Spring. Let's go mustangs!

Ok you are not a Liberty fan and yes, I have read some of your previous post. Liberty went back into the WO-S archives to find the last big team who had success against the Mustangs’, that being Richmond Foster. They too had big beefy guys who also rolled and pushed our boys around. Here are the real facts, we have played Bellville, Cuero, and Celina all whom had big OFL, and huge defenses our experience helped us succeed against Liberty and on Friday we are playing OF.
-
Yep, every sore loser has an excuse, conditioning played a lot to do with Liberty losing. Liberty should get ready for their next few opponents and stop whining like a little… and looking for bulletin board material if we meet them again
-
Right, I see your point. The Liberty game did nothing to let our offense run their routes, and throw at will because, Liberty played a little league style running attack. Ball control etc., I imagine that can frustrate a high-power offense like the Mustangs’ have. Our defense always can make plays and stay mentally sharp. I would like to see the thoroughbreds get lose for three quarters, Mad respect for OF though...

OF will always play hard against WO-S. I believe that Coach T. will play his starters longer, if he feels there is a threat for the Bobcats to win. I also think that the starters should play to work on some things that the coaches may feel that is pertinent for the future playoff run. We (WOS) should not be tipping toeing through the regular season thinking that there may be injuries. We should keep the goal in focus, A STATE TITLE, healthy yes, but never running from a fight. JMO.

Liberty did try several things to surprise the Mustang defense by, changing their offensive plays per the KOGT broadcasters. I would give the Coaches and players at WO-S the most props for adjusting, and stopping all of Liberty’s efforts in the second half. Here is my piss poor analogy, Liberty’s defense was too beefy and got worn down as the football game went on. Sometimes being too big on defense is a weakness. Liberty’s defense was the weak link last night IMO.

The Stangs took out that big arse running back. I hope the kid will recover. We played like a team who has been off a couple of weeks, but we got the job done. Liberty has some big ole boys coach T. said after the game, who were laying on our boys much like Richmond Foster did a couple of years ago. LOL! Good win for the Stangs. Shout out to KJ Miller, what a nice gesture to support his best buddy Justin Brown by wearing his jersey. Way to go KJ.

Exciting episode, but I am so emotional seeing two favorites die. I’m just processing it all right no, more to come later L

This past week off for WO-S was needed so that the team could REST and heal some of their injuries. I hope we have also worked on some discipline problems that Coach T. addressed a couple of weeks ago too. Simple things like pulling a face mask, can cost us un-necessary stress for the players, coaches and fans. Shaw, Handcock, # 23, and King I believe should be potent in the backfield against Liberty. I like the way coach is using King as a bruiser fullback. What do you fellows think about King carrying the ball on short yardage? Personally I like it!
-
Again, congrats to HJ y'all did the dang thing.
-
I'll give Liberty credit though, their running back is a good one.

Oh dear! (grinning) CONGRATS HAWKS!

Thanks Grad
