yes this umpire did set out to make bad calls against s.p. Before the first inning a sabine pass player over heard the home plate umpire whispering to the high island catcher how he was going to call strikes in the dirt and in the other batters box, he also made negative comments about the coach. And he did throughout the entire game. After every inning the umpire would go to the high island dugout until the next inning started. It was a two run game and the umpire made a remark to sabines catcher saying "Ya'll aint coming back anyway."
