  1. Watching these Ukrainians fight against Mother Russia makes me really mad about the Afghanis rolling over for the Taliban.
  2. I heard it was because Pierce accidentally called the defense the Chain Gang.
  3. Freddie Mercury is the best front man, ever, in my opinion. I had the kids watching Queen live from Montreal about 6 years ago... they were so put off by his prancing around and mannerisms, but had to admit that he was the best vocalist that they'd heard. Then how I explained that nobody knew FM was gay until he came out... every queer since then has simply been imitating Freddie Mercury.
  4. I don't see the point of electing some guy (West) who hasn't been here long. It's a big state with a ton of different points of view. I also lost a little respect when he accused the police of targeting his wife when she was driving home drunk, allegedly. Not very "back the blue," if you know what I mean. Prather? Is that better or worse than Jessie "The Body" Ventura? I'm not really sure. I'll pass regardless. Abbott has two groups really mad at him... liberals and ultra hardcore conservatives. Neither one's opinion really matters.
  5. True heroes.... staying home and fighting alongside their friends/family against an invading force. In 150 years they'll be labeled traitors, right General Lee?
  6. I agree... but I also have to jump out and say that when the opportunity presents itself, the Rs do the exact same thing. Whether is banning abortion after a heartbeat can be detected (in response to Virginia's new law, no doubt), repealing property taxes, permitless concealed carry, to identifying hormone treatment as child abuse and requiring mandatory reporting my medical professionals and educators, and then ordering the TDFS to those investigate those reports.... to bathroom bills, sanctuary cities for gun owners, etc.... Both sides will do anything if it makes the other side mad. Neither one can claim much of high ground in regards to poking at the other side. The good news is that Rs usually find themselves on the moral side of most issues.
  7. Stick with the Devil you know. Abbott will roll in this one.
  8. Did you see where the Klitschko Brothers were getting involved? I'd forgotten that Vitali is the mayor of Kyiv. [Hidden Content]
  9. That's what makes Trump's loss so devastating, IMO... I still believe that a majority of Americans aren't in favor of "woke" politics and that's exactly what the Democrats were selling in 2020. The fact that the guy gift-wrapped the Presidency, put a bow on it, and then handed it over to Biden still aggravates the crap outta me.
  10. No offense, but Jimi's skill is way overrated. Definitely a trailblazer and he should be credited for laying the building blocks for what came after, but honestly his talent is mundane by modern standards. Sorry. John Mayer is 10x the musician that Jimi Hendrix was. It's kinda like watching the old UFCs. Royce Gracie deserves a ton of talent for walking through the field in those first few UFCs, but the worst modern 170 lb fighter on the UFC would destroy anybody in that field of competitors from the first few UFCs... Royce included. Kinda like the fact that the 2021 Browns would run all over the 86 Bears hypothetically.
  11. No, I disagree on a couple of points. It’s not the fault of 81 million people that Trump is such a clown that they’d prefer anybody over four more years of the circus. I also believe that this invasion wouldn’t happen if Trump were president. But he was too busy trying to be cute on Twitter to bother getting re-elected. I’d also like to give a big shout out back to 2012 when Mitt Romney correctly predicted that Russia was the greatest geopolitical threat in the world and Obama came back with his “horses and bayonets” quip and everybody clapped like seals. Who’s laughing today?
  12. Help me understand this… we’ve heard non stop from the right now those dirty Ukrainians were the ones who paid “The Big Guy” through his kid Hunter. So why isn’t “The Big Guy” doing anything to help his friends? Because the Hunter Biden allegations were all hogwash, that’s why.
  13. There’s no difference between a black person still supporting Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton vs Trump fans still waving their flags and wearing those stupid hats today.
  14. That's probably the dumbest thing that I've ever heard of. There's a reason that we haven't elected a military leader as our president since Eisenhower, or even a military veteran since George H.W. Bush (W's time in the nation guard doesn't count). A politician's job isn't to "be mean" or to "be tough." It's to get elected so that they can affect the changes (or halt changes) that will benefit the country at the will of the people. When that buffoon alienated so many Americans that he failed to get re-elected, he screwed us all. You can't blame the voters for the fact that he behaved like a petulant child (you can take a minute to google that) and then lost to an imbecile. Being right or "the best" doesn't matter when your dumb butt can't even figure out how to get elected.
  15. So why is trump cheering Putin on?
  16. No, a politician has two jobs. He has to make it easy for people to vote for him and hard for people to vote for the other. Trump should have cleaned the floor with Biden, except he did a HORRIBLE job with #1… and somehow managed to screw up #2. When a lifelong conservative who has always voted Republican like myself had to force myself to vote for Trump, that’s a bad candidate. There was zero chance of picking up any casual voters based on his abhorrent behavior that wasn’t tolerated by decent folks. The real shame belongs at the feet of good people who didn’t demand better from Trump, not the people who voted against him. Sorry if the truth hurts your feelings. It’s a shame that Trump’s garbage didn’t…. Because we’re all paying for it now.
  17. Sports analogy. Imagine that you’re the fan of a team that has a coach that refused to punt on 4th down in a big game. Otherwise a good coach, but in this big game he turns the ball over on downs 4 times… the last of which is deep in his own territory and ultimately leads to a 7 point loss. You’d be that rabid fan supporting the coach, saying that the score doesn’t matter, he’s still the best coach, griping about the refs, missed calls, and dropped balls…. While refusing to admit that the main reason your team lost is that the coach wouldn’t punt. Trump shouldn’t have lost to Biden… and he has no one to blame but himself. It’s not stupid voters, stolen votes, or Chinese interference. The guy blew it… it’s a big dooky sandwich and we’re all gonna have to take a bite.
  18. I don’t remember a similar attack since Iraq hopped on Kuwait in 1991. I hope all of the kiddos that can’t remember what an actual war is like are paying attention. I think that it’s happening now because there is a vacuum of power and leadership around the world, but particularly here in the US. I’m not surprised. My guess is that we’ll see a push throughout Eastern Europe (not just Ukraine). I’m also convinced that like-minded countries will also take advantage of the opportunity to attack their neighbors (China/Taiwan, North/South Korea, Israel/Everybody). I was kinda fearful after the election, but had no doubt that this was coming after our debacle in Afghanistan last year. The best part is people on the news… you’ll have one guest wondering if this will be remembered like Hitler invading Poland…then one of the anchors asking “should we be concerned with this activity by Russia?” Elections have consequences… but so does tweeting stupid crap 24/7.
  19. But seriously… how many of those “best guitarist” listed are decent songwriters? Are decent vocalists? Are decent dancers? Or play other instruments very, very well? Because Prince did it all. Is he the best guitarist? Nah… but like it was said, it’s a matter of style and preference. Best all around? I can’t think of anybody better. i like to see greatly under appreciated guitarists. Guys who are known as singer but also pick a mean guitar. i never knew what a picker Glen Campbell was… he just sang really well, or so I believed. Vince Gill is a good picker. Keith Whitley got his start playing bluegrass. Jason Isbell is a little bit of a guitar hero. Sturgill Simpson can flat pick, just to name a few. [Hidden Content]
  20. One of the best, guitar players... the fact that he can play pretty much ANYTHING at that high of a level says something. Not even counting his vocal abilities or dance moves. Michael Jackson is considered great, and he can't even play anything. This is an example of why he's great.
  21. No, not unless they spend all day watching/listening/scrolling through info dumps by right-wing kooks with tons of "facts" but zero evidence.
  22. Between the "woke" politics and what appears to be the alienation of any minority voter who isn't black, the Democrats have really gotten off track in the last year or so, at least in my opinion.
