  1. If Trump runs, the Democratic nominee will win. He's too good at making people vote against him. The other thing is that if Trump goes down in the primaries, the Trumpers will stay home guaranteeing a Democrat win in the General Election. Quote me if you want. When Trump announces he's running, you can go ahead and call the race for the Democrats.
  2. I saw yesterday where they believe that over 99% of the Covid cases in the US today are the Delta Variant. It makes me wonder if that means that we've turned the corner on the original virus (it's run its course) and something similar will happen with the Delta Variant as well. I also saw this morning on the local news that there has been a drastic drop in the number of people receiving the infusion... so much of a drop that the clinic is in danger of closing. A good sign, in my opinion.
  3. I hate to go against the lynch mob, but you kinda have to admit that the most recent interaction with the law that these two had, SHE was the aggressor. You can blame mental illness, homesickness, astrology, or whatever you want... but if you kick a dog enough times, he's going to bite you. I just think that it's comical how everybody is carrying on and comparing this situation to their own past dealing with an abusive boyfriend, especially since the only evidence we've seen so far indicates that SHE was the violent one. How do we know that this isn't the Burning Bad in reverse? All signs point to it.
  4. The problem is that the city got a few million for public transit in the CARES Act, but the money hasn't actually gone towards public transit...or at least that's the belief of the drivers. Two million or so was what I'd heard.
  5. It's also kinda funny how it's literally turned into a situation where only the unvaccinated are dying, but they keep fighting against nobody in particular about their right to die. Kinda like when black people come out in support of abortion.
  6. It's a good thing we didn't have the internet in 1954 or we'd still be losing kids to polio.
  7. I can't speak very accurately on this year, but a lot of our baseball players have always avoided playing football. It's not uncommon to see kids in street clothes on the sideline warming up the actual qb, but throwing much better than the qb. Our senior QB in 2014 got a jersey but never took a snap. Just slung it around on the sidelines and took pictures. He's gone on to great things in baseball, but it didn't do much for the football team. Starting tailback in 2017 (sophomore) quit the team to focus on baseball. So many kids from BC get to play Baseball at the next level that it's cool to punk out on fb, but still stand around on the sidelines and pretend to be part of the team. It's infectious... you can pretend to be a better baseball player than you actually are by sitting out of football to "focus on baseball."
  8. That's what I'm hoping... It's gonna take time. They've been out of the Slot T for a couple of years. No idea on the injury/covid list.
  9. I’m not trying to knock any kids, but there’s no comparing the talent level of the qb pool at Westlake and BC. But they’re trying to install a similar offense in BC. It’s gonna take time. Without a decent transfer you’re YEARS away from developing a field general at BC. Same for receivers, secondary, etc…. what we don’t need is only 24 kids dressed out by the end of the season.
  10. Not exactly… I think most of it were lies/exaggerations that Vidor kinda secretly enjoyed. We’ve all heard about “the sign,” but it’s weird that nobody ever snapped a picture of the thing. We all know somebody that swears it was there, but nobody snapped a pic. Weird. But you’re right. 30 years ago there were no minorities. But I DO remember seeing a bus with KKK stuff all over it on the comer of Twin City and Nederland Avenue in the same time frame. Maybe people should refuse to play Ned, PNG, OF, BC, Deweyville, Evadale and Lumberton for the same reason.
  11. I’m not close to the program at all, but I’d love to know what’s going on… With WOS and Silsbee pretty much locks for playoff spots, then OF and HF looking solid this year, there’s not going to be a playoff spot for the cards if they don’t flip a switch. My thoughts go like this. You can’t make up for years that have been lost…. Especially if you’re trying to install a system that requires talent, skill and practice. It would be nice if they’d give the coach a few years AND the kids buy in. I have no idea if that’s going on, though. That, or there was a meeting at the field house and somebody explained to the coach that he had better dial it back or he’d be gone… because we’re a baseball school.
  12. We’re just keeping a few things under wraps for district play.
  13. Because it's not the criminals' fault that they commit all of those crimes. It's the fact that we're a nation founded on white supremacy and our systemic racism has forced those unfortunate souls into a life of crime because of poverty/desperation that all of us white people caused with our skin color. Get with the program, Racist. Seriously.... that's the excuse in 2021
  14. The executive branch can't mandate what goes on in the other two branches (legislative and judicial). The executive branch CAN mandate the vaccine for all of the government that falls under the executive branch (EPA, OSHA, State Department, etc..). It would be really easy for Congress to propose legislation demanding that all congressmen and their staffs get vaccinated. i'm sure the President would sign such a bill, if it could get out of congress with a Democratic Majority.... but it won't. I like the fact that the Postal Service hopped out and immediately and said "this doesn't apply to us, either." [Hidden Content] Some are saying that the USPS will still be forced under the "more than 100 employees" provision, but we'll have to see what the postal union(s) have to say about that.
  15. Cards are picking up steam.... you heard it here first.
  16. Well, this has Barbray’s fingerprints all over it. It’s awesome how Jasper stepped up and scheduled the tigers then dipped out both years. Pathetic.
  17. Isn't it funny how women have the right to choose to kill their unborn child or to have the child without regard to the father's wishes... but the father is going to be on the hook for raising that kid regardless of his wishes. That doesn't even cover the likelihood that the taxpayers will fund the upbringing of the child. But we're supposed to believe that the skirts are the ones who are oppressed? Give me a break. Abortion doesn't fix the problem. Child support doesn't fix the problem. Social safety nets only make things worse. The village raising your kid doesn't fix the problem. Not getting knocked up by losers fixes the problem.
  18. The whole thing is played out… I’ve got a friend that is on fb live almost daily ragging on people who won’t get the vaccine. He’s a liberal, so it’s expected. No biggie. EXCEPT up until about a year and half ago he was a sworn anti-vaxxer. He completed his affidavit to send to the school claiming a religious exemption from his kids’ requires vaccines. I mean… what changed? Did you ever get those kids their shots? Or is this the only vaccine you approve? It’s so blatantly hypocritical.
