  1. If the announcer calls for a moment of silence to commemorate the death of George Floyd and I took the time to loudly discuss what a real life piece of crap that he was while everyone else was being quiet, you’d understand the disrespect.
  2. Well, you know the of the suspect by it's conspicuous absence in the headline and story. Otherwise they'd have been all "white man assaults blah, blah, blah...." Our news is a joke.
  3. Nah... greed is a part of the human being. Always has been, always will be. It's in all of us, and all it takes is a single person exercising his/her/their greed and the whole thing falls apart. Imagine that you're on a deserted island with one other person and two chickens. Every day the two of you can each enjoy an egg... unless somebody decides that they would rather have two eggs. Then the wheels fall off of your socialist utopia. Capitalism says "i think I'm gonna skip eating my egg for two or three days and incubate those dudes.... then I'll have four chickens dropping eggs." Socialism says "wait?!!! Why do you deserve four eggs every day when all I get is one? Is it because of my skin color?"
  4. Dana White from the UFC said it best… to paraphrase, he said “if you want to watch political crap, there are 80 other channels with something divisive on… we’re just gonna show fights.” Trump was at the show in Vegas last weekend and as far as I can tell the ufc just treated him like any other celebrity in attendance. No promo, no press… just a brief cameo and then back to the fights. People turn on sports to get away from their troubles… not get bashed over the head with non-stop lies about imagined oppression and perceived racism.
  5. I guess they're trying to make sure that the NBA doesn't destroy itself alone. "Here's the deal... we have tons of these black players "protesting" and pissing off the customers because they're disrespecting the national anthem. To show how much we care, we'll play a NEW anthem just for the black players that are disrespecting the actual anthem! It's a win-win!"
  6. Ummmm… we moved past equality. Now they demand “justice” for things that never happened to them, to be paid by people who never committed the acts in the first place.
  7. Hey! Any idea when we can expect the much-anticipated preview for Bridge City?
  8. There's no better argument against sideline reporters than this....
  9. But on the other hand, Joe DID say that he was going to find a woman of color to be his VP... he wasn't sure who, but the VP was definitely going to be a woman of color. So you can't then come back and say "look our first woman (of color) to be elected VP" when she was, in fact, chosen because of her gender/skin color. You can't have it both ways. [Hidden Content] Saying that is just a racist as saying "I'm going to pick a white dude to be my running mate." Just because it's a "win" for your team doesn't make it any less wrong.
  10. You're not wrong. I think it's little misleading to point out her accomplishments as a women, but refuse to recognize that she DID, in fact, sleep her way up the ladder early on. It's a part of her history, just like Bill Clinton's misdeeds, GWB's misdeeds, Trump's or anybody else's. But there is no reason to make personal attacks of the nature that your described. It's not respectful to the office that she holds.
  11. It's comical to me.... "we won a majority... it's our way or the highway." Closely followed by "we're the minority... but it's our way or the highway." The gov/lt. gov/speaker should HAMMER those D Districts with the purse.
  12. Does anybody have the rest of the list? Say from 81-96?
  13. So your argument is that that he better person got the sideline reporter job, but the wrong people keep getting the coaching gigs? Give me a break. You're all about a diversity until it doesn't suit you. Then you're all about a meritocracy (you can look it up) until it doesn't suit you. You would curse MLK today for saying: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
  14. Wait.... I thought the Republicans were the party of "no?"
  15. I do some work in adult films. Will Dickum, at your service.
  16. I agree... things definitely got off on the wrong foot a couple of hundred years ago. Fortunately, a couple hundred thousand (racist, apparently, because ALL of us are inherently racist) white guys gave their lives for your freedom. Black people in America aren't oppressed, and haven't been in generations. They just need black people mad enough to keep voting "D."
  17. I can make that assumption because there are no government sponsored programs that will guarantee me a job over better qualified candidates solely because of my skin color. Lace up the shoe, son… it’s yours and it fits.
  18. Never once has a teacher admitted that they aren’t like the rest of us with real jobs. It is literally the easiest, most comfortable, safest, part time job a lazy person could dream of…. Yet all teachers do is complain to us, the people who pay them, about how bad teachers have it.
  19. Back to my point... most of us are held accountable at work. Teachers are not. It's why they want to do away with standardized testing-it grades the school as well as the student. If teachers were paid their actual worth on the open market, most would starve. Facts.
  20. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!! Are you one of those "I deserve the job because I'm black" people who get all defensive when people rightfully point out that the only reason you're in that spot is because of your race? If you approve of Affirmative Action, then you ARE that guy. Own it. Once they started giving people the jobs because of their skin color, then EVERY black person has to deal with the assumption that the ONLY reason they're in that spot is because of their skin color. Hell of a trade-off, wasn't it?
  21. Honest question... do you ever let race come into your hiring decisions? Let's say, for instance, that you have a client in Deep East Texas that is the definition of a "Southern Good Ol' Boy." Mid 60s, flat top haircut, those Wrangler Polyester pants, big belt buckle, short sleeve western shirt. I promise you, sending an urban, educated black dude from Houston will cost you the client. Losing clients can cost your YOUR job. What do you do then? The "best available" might not be the best qualified... You need to send a bubba of your own to call on the client. That's just one example, but the script can be flipped... You wouldn't send the guy I described above to call on the City of Port Arthur if you have any sense.
  22. I find it ironic that ESPN made changes to their broadcast personnel to promote diversity... long story made short, they "sidelined" a white female sideline reporter for the NBA playoffs to put a black female reporter on the broadcast team. But then everybody gets offended when people point out that she got her promotion solely because of her skin color. That's what you wanted!!!! The same people who have a problem with the lack of diversity in front office staffs in the NFL have zero problem with the lack of diversity in the locker room. Pardon me, but that's racism, too.
