Not exactly… I think most of it were lies/exaggerations that Vidor kinda secretly enjoyed. We’ve all heard about “the sign,” but it’s weird that nobody ever snapped a picture of the thing. We all know somebody that swears it was there, but nobody snapped a pic. Weird. But you’re right. 30 years ago there were no minorities. But I DO remember seeing a bus with KKK stuff all over it on the comer of Twin City and Nederland Avenue in the same time frame. Maybe people should refuse to play Ned, PNG, OF, BC, Deweyville, Evadale and Lumberton for the same reason.

Who do you see them beating? WOS or Silsbee? -
Bridge City 0 Anahuac 33/FINAL
CardinalBacker replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Football
I’m not close to the program at all, but I’d love to know what’s going on… With WOS and Silsbee pretty much locks for playoff spots, then OF and HF looking solid this year, there’s not going to be a playoff spot for the cards if they don’t flip a switch. My thoughts go like this. You can’t make up for years that have been lost…. Especially if you’re trying to install a system that requires talent, skill and practice. It would be nice if they’d give the coach a few years AND the kids buy in. I have no idea if that’s going on, though. That, or there was a meeting at the field house and somebody explained to the coach that he had better dial it back or he’d be gone… because we’re a baseball school. -

We’re just keeping a few things under wraps for district play. -
Because it's not the criminals' fault that they commit all of those crimes. It's the fact that we're a nation founded on white supremacy and our systemic racism has forced those unfortunate souls into a life of crime because of poverty/desperation that all of us white people caused with our skin color. Get with the program, Racist. Seriously.... that's the excuse in 2021

The executive branch can't mandate what goes on in the other two branches (legislative and judicial). The executive branch CAN mandate the vaccine for all of the government that falls under the executive branch (EPA, OSHA, State Department, etc..). It would be really easy for Congress to propose legislation demanding that all congressmen and their staffs get vaccinated. i'm sure the President would sign such a bill, if it could get out of congress with a Democratic Majority.... but it won't. I like the fact that the Postal Service hopped out and immediately and said "this doesn't apply to us, either." [Hidden Content] Some are saying that the USPS will still be forced under the "more than 100 employees" provision, but we'll have to see what the postal union(s) have to say about that.

Jasper Bulldogs vs Silsbee Tigers/ CANCELED

Well, this has Barbray’s fingerprints all over it. It’s awesome how Jasper stepped up and scheduled the tigers then dipped out both years. Pathetic. -
Texas: a step in the right direction

Isn't it funny how women have the right to choose to kill their unborn child or to have the child without regard to the father's wishes... but the father is going to be on the hook for raising that kid regardless of his wishes. That doesn't even cover the likelihood that the taxpayers will fund the upbringing of the child. But we're supposed to believe that the skirts are the ones who are oppressed? Give me a break. Abortion doesn't fix the problem. Child support doesn't fix the problem. Social safety nets only make things worse. The village raising your kid doesn't fix the problem. Not getting knocked up by losers fixes the problem. -
PAISD Offers Incentive for Vaccinations shot
CardinalBacker replied to BMTSoulja1's topic in Local Headlines
The whole thing is played out… I’ve got a friend that is on fb live almost daily ragging on people who won’t get the vaccine. He’s a liberal, so it’s expected. No biggie. EXCEPT up until about a year and half ago he was a sworn anti-vaxxer. He completed his affidavit to send to the school claiming a religious exemption from his kids’ requires vaccines. I mean… what changed? Did you ever get those kids their shots? Or is this the only vaccine you approve? It’s so blatantly hypocritical. -
PAISD Offers Incentive for Vaccinations shot
CardinalBacker replied to BMTSoulja1's topic in Local Headlines
I think it's dumb to give somebody $100 bucks to get them to take a shot that's costing the US taxpayers who knows how much. Take it or don't. Mandates aren't right, either. -
I wasn’t lying.

Coach Dubois would lose his mind because the band would stay down on the track behind the team and play nonstop after halftime. It was the band’s “tractivities.” They were horribly disruptive to their own team and they finally put an end to it.

All jokes aside, they’ve installed the spread for this year. The new coach was an assistant at Austin Westlake and all of our rbs are receivers now. What could possibly go wrong?

You'd best believe that there's a lot of "professional courtesy" extended to brothers in blue that the rest of us don't get. I've got a friend whose ex-husband/DPS officer threatened her with his service weapon.... like he left marks on her head from it. They wouldn't even take a report when she called the local cops. In retrospect, it was the right decision because if he'd lost his job, she'd lose her half of his pension. Divorce is hell, boys....lol.

Supreme Court Strikes Down Joebama Eviction Moratorium!

The government doesn't pay anything... the taxpayers do. How much are you personally willing to spend to help these unfortunate tenants who haven't paid their rent in months (even if they are working/drawing unemployment)? -

P.a. Isd requiring mask and the Bible in public schools
CardinalBacker replied to 5GallonBucket's topic in Local Headlines
We shouldn't be mandating masks... but you ought to be wearing one if you're going to be in close contact with others throughout your day. -
A lot of times they're from the imagination of a scorned woman. But I kinda suspect that there's fire to go along with this smoke.... the indictment/retirement would likely not have occurred without some sort of evidence available. I'm gonna reserve judgment, but I've got a feeling there's something to this one.

Y'all are well aware that I can't stand Trump, and believe that IF he tries to run again in 2024 he will lose.... and likely get another democrat elected. But having said all of that, isn't it crazy how we made it through four years of Trump without an international incident, yet here we are in August having just suffered a complete embarrassment in Afghanistan. I can't help but believe that the weakness we've displayed in the last few weeks will embolden our enemies. The people who attacked our troops during the evacuation? They're gonna go unpunished, and even if we DID try to avenge our fallen, we'd be going up against a much better armed enemy than we had two weeks ago. This wouldn't have happened if Trump had been re-elected. That's a lot coming from me. Once again, I wish he could have shut his mouth and won an easy re-election.

I worked as a claim adjuster for a while after college.... I dealt with a couple of families who had lost loved ones and I ended up selling my old scooter. I just needed to be around to raise the kids and stuff. I always thought I'd get another one, but now that my parental obligations are pretty much fulfilled I just don't really have the urge to ride anymore. The ground is just too hard.
